Rejoice: Casuals will easily be in T4 in Season 8

MacroBioBoi in his video “Will Casuals Reach Torment 4 in Season 8? Putting Your Concerns to Rest | Diablo 4 PTR Testing” proves he can complete a T4 equivalent Pit with no glyphs, no defenses maxed, no Boss powers, and regular un-maxed-out gear. This means anyone with a pulse can get to the hardest tier, which is a good thing apparently in the D4 community- so rejoice everyone! You no longer have to boycott S8, Blizz failed their stated mission and we’ll all be in T4 after 5 hours of gameplay just like before.

Good to know the game’s still a complete joke then. No point in installing. Blizzard hates ARPG fans.

And why do we need a video to know that?

I’ve stated the same thing since PTR day 3, but no, i just whinne…

Probably i have to learn something with @Wukong… :joy:

…but the skilled elite, errr, well the ones who have time to grind non-stop for the first week will still get there first and have the bestest gear because… skillz. Not time! Skill!

I said the same here after my experience in the ptr. Others have stated this as well. Unless they nerf some of those boss powers there will be far more than 10 percent reaching T4. Ultra casuals can rest easy.

What’s crazy to me is he’s doing it without a boss power at all, so playing in T4 is even more trivial.

I’ve donne it without boss powers, with a S7 T4 RG DT build in PTR T4.
It’s harder, but doable…

PS: Since i’ve donne it first, that video guy stole my © and ™ ideia… :joy:

I am so surprised. Entirely completely surprised. Never been this surprised in my life.

My copied character on eternal is 250 with no mythics or ga above 2 and was handling up to new pit 80. No seasonal powers. T4 open world was still a breeze. Pits and bosses are certainly harder. But thats it.

An unexpected turn of events, truly :open_mouth:

I haven’t watched the whole video but it says “casuals” and he’s using a paragon 300 character.

He takes out 75 points and completely removes the glyphs.

75 paragon points removed, no glyphs, no boss powers, no gems on his armor, very little master-worked, etc.

In other words, it’s going to be fine and the game will continue status quo. I got to pit 100 and lost interest in leveling glyphs and grinding Paragon. I consider myself somewhere between casual and try-hard. Went to play something else until next season. YMMV.

Blizzard are so bad at this whole balancing/math thing, that we should try to get them to make T4 super easy instead.
Might result in some real difficulty.

Problem is, status quo is not fine.

I know and play with a few true casuals. I can assure you that Macro would get farther in the game with zero gear than any of them could with a fully decked out meta build.

Macro is a good player with a strong understanding of the game. True casuals won’t equip a mythic that’s perfect for their build because “it’s ugly”. (This actually happened. I still have nightmares about explaining the transmog process.)

What I’m trying to say is that Macro assurances about casuals getting to T4 might be a bit flawed.

No, it’s not flawed.
I’ve tested it and it is a reality.
50% of the player base will be in S8 T4.
Mark my words!

Yep, I got to T80 with no boss powers on the S8 PTR with Incinerate. And there are many Sorc builds much more powerful than that.

All the lair bosses were doable just fine. The ones with lengthier and multi-phase mechanics were more challenging, but still not that hard.

T4 Lilith was the worst and only rough one, because you have to deal with so much more mechanics/phases if you don’t do enough damage to skip phases.
