Anyone play rapid fire build notice that there’s a delay when firing more than 1 rapid shot? What happens is I hold down right click, it fires 1 or 2 rapid fires, I left click to move, char takes 1-2 steps, then rapid fires again, even though I never pressed right click. This is very annoying and has gotten me killed a few times as my char doesn’t move when I need him to.
It feels like there’s a queue system in place so there’s a delay when skills are activated. Can we disable this?
I’m encountering this issue too. It doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does my character became unresponsive to any movement control for like ~0.5s. It’s hard to consistently reproduce the issue but it’s very annoying when it happens.
Edit: for context, I’ve been playing rapid fire the entire time but only start to encounter this issue from 1 or 2 days back. I’m not sure if this is related to the basic skill + rapid fire combo point interaction since I’ve just switched to that build recently.

Towards the end of the video I was spamming left clicks on the ground, but my character just stood there and do nothing.
I thought it was just me lagging but now it all makes sense! Yes, vey annoying…
Im playing from saudi and when Im alone playing in EU servers this never happens to me. when I join my friends on NA server, this often happens to me.

Yeah, i run a pen build but ive been noticing on a very frequent basis, my character refuses to do anything for a split second. Sometimes it looks like he wants to do something (theres this weird animation of wanting to fire an arrow but it isnt followed through).
The game has been feeling pretty unresponsive lately (i play on pc with xbox controller).
It actually kind of reminds me how the horse doesnt want to move at times ![]()
Tried it and after that very exact thing happened after running two NM Dungeons I was like no thanks. Kind of useless to me. I need insta-effects not delayed.
When I first started doing rapid fire with no basic skills, I noticed this big time! I definitely died a bunch because of it. It’s hard to adjust in a fast paced game like Diablo, but I try not to click rapid fire more than I need to now haha
Hope it gets addressed because at least for pen shot it is very costly. I dont mind it not moving my character really, but wasting second shots automatically of my imbuement and with partial energy is a huge waste. Pen shot is supposed to mechanically be fired when 3 combo and full energy for max damage. When the stupid bug keeps second firing immediately after the first it burns my imbuement, wastes any combo points, and empties my energy for a weak attack. We shouldnt need to slow or stop our gameplay for the system to react appropriately to our input.
