Since today’s update, the PS5 is dropping out of 4K by the time it reaches initial character selection. I’m not sure how low the resolution is, but it now looks awful on my 4K TV, including during gameplay, which makes me think it’s aiming at 1440p (which my TV doesn’t support). It was fine yesterday.
The entire system is at a reduced resolution, even though the PlayStation’s settings still say 2160p.
Note that Diablo does start at 4K, with the HDR logo. It seems to downscale at the opening Blizzard logo, though I’m not positive about the exact timing.
be careful all, it is buggy, I keep seeing this error as well when logging in and yes it does continue and you can play.
But sound was strange during salvaging, was enchanting an aspect, cost me quite some gold, but the weapon I set on my char.
Thought I would restart my PS5 to maybe solve issues, got back, new weapon gone, gold gone, probably mats gone as well I received for salvaging before I restarted.
Thanks Blizz, worst update to date!
To be safe and not ruin my evening, I will not play anymore today.
After the patch, the game is unplayable. After Blizzard animation starts, downscale the PS5 to 1080p and ridiculous washed brightness until you close the game. Everything was fine until the patched was installed so is definitely from your side. Please fix this sooner than later!
Thank god. I thought it was just me. Ive been trying to find a resolution for hours now. I to am getting that E2-FFFFFFFF error and the graphics look horrible. I had better resolution on my texas instruments pc back in the late 80’s.
Are you sure it’s dropping out of 4K? Does your TV show the resolution when playing the game?
What happened to me after the update is the game tried to launch at a higher refresh rate, and since I have an 120hz TV it defaulted to that. You also need to enable VRR as well if you have this technology. I would also highly suggest to disable quality mode or whatever is called in settings.
Something to keep in mind however; Not all TV’s support 4K@120hz even if they say they do. The TV lowers the resolution to support the signal. It’s hard to spot but in a game like D4 where you spend a considerable amount of time looking at stats, it may be noticeable to some.
I think I fixed the 4k problem by going into the settings of the ps5 and disabling 120hz
And setting the res to 2162 or whatever the highest is you still get the error but it looks like before the patch
try to put everything back to auto to see if you can go back to ugly low fps gfx
I think they disabled something from their side, I didnt chnge anything and graphics just changed ingame
I have the same thing! After the patch, the fps became lower and the resolution! Disabling 120 fps in the console settings helped! Although my screen does not even support 120! Blizzard, fix the game!
