I miss the witch and vampire powers. Please come up with a system that will allow us to select these old powers and add new ones that come out over time. We could click on an item or some person, and then we could select the powers we want. Easy.
Donât most of the top tier powers become legendary aspects or uniques?
Itâs not âeasyâ, especially for this game, which has trouble balancing core features as it is.
There are already reports of niche bugs with boss powers in combination with other abilities. They should disregard this request & just keep trying to fix the core game. Hire some more engineers & better systems devs.
What you want is basically D3 and its there.
I think theyâre making the right moves on this one. They look to cohesively integrate what makes sense back into the base game. Other titles have been criticised for doing this without adequate controls leaving behind a spaghetti soup of confusing features.
My suggestion would be to communicate which abilities you liked and why, so they can add those to what is on their radar for consideration.
No.
I think they should have events in eternal realm where you get to use previous seasons powers for 2 weeks.
Lots of good stuff amongst these boss powers.
Will miss them next seadon
Boss powers are way to strong to be permanent. Theyâd have to nerf them significantly to curb them back from being game breaking moving into future seasons.
And if they have the nerf them to hell, why bother with keeping them?
Wouldnât you be bored having the same powers every season?
I would, I like seasonal variance.
Im totally missing the precious S7 " Friend of the Bog" occult gem (you gain 8% Primary Stat, 10% Maximum Life, and are always Unhindered).
These powers should be special runes⌠items from another family⌠for example, light blue celestial items that receive a random power from the reforge. In other seasons, these powers could be very rare.
The powers are visually cool, itâs a huge waste not to integrate them into the game. Maybe there could be an optimization problem in having such a large game since each season is about 10 GB. So in 15 seasons we would have another 150 GB and maybe it wonât be optimized.
Donât most of the top tier powers become legendary aspects or uniques?
Thatâs the problem. They come back in some bastardized, limited form.
Iâm sick of temporary crap like this.
I want PERMANENT power for my character.
I think it should be more ambitious: all (older) season themes represented, in special instanced worlds. Eternal char steps in, loot rules are normal, can complete season objectives - once they click the portal again, they return to normal realm. UIâs can be adjusted to keep the transitions as clean as possible. No titles earned, no season journey, no season items/pets⌠just the âexperienceâ, plus XP.
These devs would break the game beyond repair if they tried it. But competent devs working under competent leadership, could buff it substantially. It would double or triple âplayer engagementâ b/c most seasonal players would then migrate into Eternal halfway through the season.
Iâve thought for a time, how cool it would be, if the Eternal players also got to select which season was active, as in, have a kind of âclassâ, to play around with? Since the mechanics are all, already in the game, why not? Itâs Eternal, too, no one is going to cry if they are OP, and wouldnât really need balancing - we just want to play around w/ the themes of the characters we came up with. I really liked the Construct guy, thematically, and would love to be able to again play a Rogue w/ him, running aroundâŚfeeling like Iron Man!
Thatâs happened a few times, but it was basically only from Vampire and Malignant season, they HAVENâT been doing that since.
I do think it would make sense to start integrating some of the powers as runes, though, or give us a 3rd rune slot that was JUST for powers. So you could only add ONE of a very limited set of powers from previous seasons.
The majority of those powers become aspects or uniques. The best vampire powers are right there in your codex.
One of the biggest problems, which they already struggle with, is balance. If we were to keep the seasonal power while adding a new one each season, it would become ridiculous. They had added a modified version of popular powers, a few from S1 as unique rings, and a couple from S2 as aspects we can imprint on gear. S3 was a robot companion, which I guess you could say Mercâs replaced in a way. We also went a few seasons without any new seasonal powers as they were doing an overhaul to gear and world progressions. So potential Witch, and this season might see some come back in some form.
