My wife and I spent many hours playing D3 on console and we would absolutely love to play D4 together as well but no longer own a console. Please add couch coop to the PC version as well! That is literally the only reason I haven’t pre-ordered the game yet… I don’t even care if we need to buy the game twice for this to happen. Please implement this!

Their excuse is…and wow is it super lame…they can not figure out how to log into 2 battle net accounts at the same time on the same machine.
I know, I know…it’s 2023 and this technical hurdle boggles the worlds greatest minds.

They managed to do it on console. My only question is why not PC as well?

They have stated that on console it is much easier to implement having 2 accounts playing together on console. I do believe them, but the fact that they can’t figure out how to make Bnet launcher do this is silly. It is just not a priority for them. It’s a shame.

Yeah it really is. I believe them too I’m sure it’s much easier, but like you said… they can always update the Bnet app…

Consider yourself lucky though. I did boot up a 2nd PC for my gf earlier as she did want to try it out. After a 60 minute queue and finally get into game and she says, “Eh, I don’t want to play right now, maybe later.”

I agree, strange that devs think that PC can’t be hooked up to a big tv like consoles. It was in the explanation on why it wasn’t added on PC.

Another thing was 2 battle.net accounts…? Why can’t it be just 1 account with extra characters played by a different person? Or does PS/XB requires you to buy an extra copy to play local co-op?

I just want Diablo 4 nights with my husband. Not screaming across the room or setting up discord just to play together nights.
And why do you need 2 accounts? Just let us play characters on the same account. But I guess Blizzard doesn’t care about letting us wives play too.

I see. Yeah, we could play on two machines, but why should we? Gaming PCs are generally more powerful than consoles. We tend to play co-op games on a TV to which PC is connected, for example It takes two was a lot of fun. I tried D4 on a controller (DS4) and felt right at home, controller support is awesome on PC. The first Diablo I played was D1 on PSX actually, haha, but since then I only played it on PC.
Seems silly that Blizzard just didn’t implement a simple feature that is available on consoles, I don’t think it’s even hard to implement, just not a priority it seems. Hopefully it will be addressed in the future!

And yeah that’s why I don’t understand why not do it? There’s a few dozen couch coop pc games. Seems like a missed opportunity if you ask me. Oh well I hope they see there is a demand for it and will implement soon.
Loved the beta and would love to play when it comes out, but no point for me until they do.

Diablo IV on PC would be even better with local co-op. It’s available on consoles, so why not on PC? Let’s gather friends, defeat demons together, and create unforgettable gaming moments. Please consider adding this feature.

Admittedly, couch co-op for PC would be cool. Especially with controllers, for the jump-in experience, on a souped-up PC.
I can see this being a technical hurdle but could be worth the effort if enough people keep asking for it.

Not sure why people feel the need to strike down something that should definitely be included in the PC version of the game.
You can get a cheap Xbox Series S as a last resort. Or just get a PS5 or Series X.

Maybe when Microsoft buys Acti-Blizz and puts it on Xbox Gamepass.
Xbox PC Gamepass has PC couch co-op games, like most of the LEGO games.
