FO/Conjurer Sorc delving deeper and deeper into the pits. Im curious, where are you guys finding the “sweet spot” for farming Neathiron? I have up to T68 unlocked, but find that 62-63 gets the job done quicker than grinding through a level 65-68 tier. I can do it, but takes awhile.
Typically about the same in my case, farm is about 10-15% lower what current cap is.
Specifics: my cap is 75 atm, been farming 65s.
Immortal fire bolt, max 115,speed farm 101

I haven’t tried above 61, but I can do that consistently. Im an arc lash build, with perma unstable currents. I feel like going higher will just be a longer annoying boss battle.
Meteor Sorc
Highest cleared 66, but could only do the 61 consistently
you guys feel like masterworking your gear to 8/12 and even 12/12 helps you push further?
I think I do, but not as much as I had hoped. I guess like anything it depends on what stats get buffed.
Ive played a crap ton of hours, but I only have 2, 2GA items and no 3GA items.
8/12 yes, 12/12 not so much
Not in the least. I play exclusively on the Eternal realm and still have access to all the legacy gear. Aside from weapons and amulets (assuming you are lottery-winner lucky and get a well rolled one with Devouring Blaze) which can be modified to be much better than legacy items because of the tempering system, everything else is much better at 5/5 than 12/12, even if you somehow manage to target all the right stats at 4, 8, and 12. And if you’re using a unique weapon for your build then 12/12 is a massive downgrade from the old 5/5 because you can’t temper unique items and masterworking does not increase base weapon damage. Same with virtually all armor pieces except maybe gloves but I have a perfectly rolled legacy pair with all max rolls on every stat that can’t be topped because they nerfed the stat roll ranges on gloves.
For me as a meteor sorcerer the only marginal benefit I can get from masterworking is to squeeze out some more CDR but because of the punishing diminishing returns it has and the already low cooldown on Starfall Coronet meteors it is an exceedingly small upgrade for a massively disproportionate amount of effort.
I could have every piece of gear at 12/12 with all the right stats targeted and would never be able to reliably clear the Pit past 60 as a meteor sorcerer. Or really any other build that doesn’t heavily lean into the Flame Shield mechanic.
All my gear is 1 or none GA, all masterworked to 7. I need to figure out how to routinely get that second crit masterwork where i need within reason, but every time i think about masterworking past 7, i also think that i should just be farming gear drops for the 2-3 GA’s. Im on eternal tho so we dont get those, and if we do, they brick like a new car loses value.
I should also be working on a rogue for tempering crit, but its hard to make myself do that because ill never see drops good enough to justify the effort, lol.
Ouch you guy seem defeated but I totally get it. I try to balance Pit runs exactly like you said in regard to farming for 2 or 3GA items. I have every item masterworked to 8, one at 9, and one at 12-all by farming nothing greater than Pit 67.
ditched my cl sorc on pit50, Just really couldn’t be arsed anymore with these 3-5min bossfights at the end after completly facerolling the rest of the dungeon in a minute and no feeling of progression to the boss killspeed after major upgrades even.
Full telenova sorc, on my own Ive completed a T68, in a party T101.
Im finding the ability to crowd control is wild with any sorc build, the damage falls off for most somewhere before T80 and I need help from another class to clear the mobs I have CC’d
To add context, ive completely perfected half of the masterworking on my gear (5 pieces). Minus some GA’s here and there. The other half of my gear just hasnt recieved the 3rd targetted upgrade at rank 12 where I want it, just the one at rank 8 turning yellow with a random affix upgraded at 12 instead of the right one, turning blue.
Even still, this is after DAYS of working at it. I am topping my damage out at 19.5 million on teleports impact but that is nowhere near anyone else can do with the same level of effort.
My opinion after making the weakest possible sorc into a fairly strong but extremely fun one? Dont play sorc until they rework it, the juice just isn’t worth the squeeze even with ubers.
To those that would suggest i switch to infinite flame shield or some variant thereof, no thankyou. I dont mind the risk of death as long as the game is fun.
I was working my way up and had finally got to lvl 30+ until the update the other day. Now I can’t go anywhere without getting 1-shot. I was looking forward to the adjustments they said they were making to the bosses cuz they were a waste of time taking so long to kill after the rest of the pit dungeons were so easy. But then they went in the opposite direction. I have no idea if the bosses are still hit-sponges cuz I’ll never reach one again apparently. Not unless I go find completely new gear, rework my build (again) and start from scratch (again). I’m dead as soon as I load into lvl 30 Pit even with this gear I dumped a week’s worth of work into upgrading
So the pit I am in is despair. Level: quitting D4
That should not be happening that really sucks. What build are you using and what amount of HP do you have? Hopefully you run some kind of barriers? I have about 17k of HP and run a barrier almost constantly between protection and ice shield
do you have a build planner or video for the teleport build? would be interested to see it. I thought the build kind of died after the PTR with the evade cooldown nerf, teleport enchantment barrier nerf, frosty stride nerf, and teleport radius nerf
Absolutely! Although warning it is heavily reliant on the proper masterworking.

With both blizzard and fo sorc i got to 80 but was farming 71 or 75 depending on my mood and concentration skills. Could probably got to lvl 90 as well, but i am not really a pusher.
Now rolled a barb and did 61s on lvl 92…
Typical Frozen Orb Sorc, Max90 speed farm 80
Im at 100 with my own incinerate build but have almost perfect gear
I think it depends on how good your gear is. For example if you have a greater affix on cool down reduction, the steps 9/10/11 are actually quite potent. Same for high rolls of temper like flame shield duration.
I think generally a good rule of thumb is full upgrade from 8/12 to 12/12 should give you 10 levels in pit easily from where you started.
