As the hours tick on by in patch 1.1.1 the community enjoys the new mob density changes, unfortunately rogues as per usual got hit with more build breaking bugs, nerfs, shadownerfs, changes, ‘fixes’, whatever you might call them.
So far in patch 1.1 we got hit with doubled CD nerfs for imbuements and traps.
We were hit twice as hard by the violent nerf to innate crit dmg% on swords and innate vulnerability damage on Crossbows. And Siphoning Strikes becoming a meme to trigger now requiring to be close, to crit and a lucky hit and even then only has a 85% chance to trigger.
On top of that, we now have useless stats further diluting our pool of rolls such as Overpower Damage % Why in the nine hells do rogues need overpower dmg % on literally anything, literally none of abilities, paragons, mechanics, skills, actually cause overpower bar from the 3% passive chance???
So despite the doom and gloom that was Patch 1.1 at least they buffed Icy Alchemist aspect, and Bursting Venoms. Really putting an ephasis for rogues to go try this aspect out, along with a clear emphasis on basic attacks.
Then we get to patch 1.1.1
I was actually excited to play this patch, small mostly insignificant changes were made to some abilities, but most importantly no nerfs/changes that would destroy our builds.
OR SO WE THOUGHT
The rogue community is currently still discovering newly found undocumentated changes that completely screw over builds and synergies. Such as Icy Alchemist Aspect & Bursting Venoms Aspect not longer proccing off of other attacks when a target is infected by shadow imbuement.
Why buff the aspects, incentivize people to play them. Build upon them. Only to ‘fix’ them, by making them useless. How about you ‘fix’ them first, and then tweek and incentivize people to play it. This interaction has been around since launch, and only now you address it?
Heart of Trickery taunt is absolutely busted and doesn’t work making it useless, I don’t even know what it’s doing anymore.
And so excitement for 1.1.1 turns into resentment and generally loathing to play the game, on the positive side it works as encouragement to play other games that do allow fun.
All we asked for is transparency, and yet again they prove us wrong by omitting important patch notes.
