Patch 1.1.1 2 steps forward, 5 steps back for rogues

Ah, the bees! the bees!

When I run into the butcher, normally my eye is on the mini map and the only reason I realize it’s the butcher is because I wonder why this thing hasn’t died yet.

But when I see those green little projectiles in my peripheral vision…I shutter a little and know I need to get the anti air kicked in ASAP unless I want to die.

Blizz really needs to buff the menaning look to the bees and corpsebows. Make them look more imposing like they really are.

@Adventurer, yeah, I just died to a bunch of ghosts 3 times in a row. Probably that red beam but couldn’t tell what I was dying to because of the lag.

You still can. Aspects should work how they are written to work and not be bugged. Bugs need to be fixed. I know the aspect wasn’t OP or anything but we shouldnt have stuff that doesnt do what its supposed to.

What steps forward? Rogues have gotten nothing but slapped with every patch. Massively weak class with very little options in build and consistently slammed by nerfs.

So very weak…

I have decided from the get go that I LOATHED lucky hit and have actively avoided speccing into anything involving it. I have missed out on a lot of fun (bursting venoms, Infinimist) but also I have only had to feel the pain of nerfs vicariously through fellow players.

Barber make all build powerfull. Barber heart making everything finefor all class, but it and kills diversity, just an easy way to solve problem of build balancing. Nothing to cheer about in term of gameplay. I personnaly stick with Vile apothecary + pestilent puncture + bursting venom with very lucky hit chance. Still pretty decent and more fun to play.

You link an open world WT4 clip to refer to rogue being strong? Tell me you haven’t completed the campaign without telling me you haven’t finished the campaign like what?.. This post has 0 merit for end game/anything relevant. No one cares if a build can clear trash mobs in the middle of the open world, that’s worthless to anyone actually playing the game.

Have you ever heard of bugs becoming features because it works way better than the original? Even then, they still haven’t even addressed it.

At the time it wasn’t even fixed, commenting for nothing.

Other classes can actually use overpower, commenting for nothing.

it’s like I’m talking to a chatGPT bot with dream to become a Blizzard dev, you’d fit right in as you also don’t listen to people and like to avoid answering questions that point out your flawed logic.

We should have working game too, but here we are with a supposed bug 2 months into the game life cycle that they specifically buffed and encouraged the community to play with. Then without a warning decide to completely change how it functions.

“More Fun” is very subjective, it’s obviously a lot more fun for you, but also obviously not for me. Isn’t it great where we can have several different ways to play and each find our own “fun” level.

You show me a link where a rogue is as awful as you say, and I’ll show you a garbage player.

Also it’s a twisting blades build. Literally the only option for rogues who want to not be playing just an objectively bad skill, even if they find it fun.

Those two videos are essentially the exact same video. A dude using TB and barber. So fun, you get to have one good build. Rogue is so good with their ONE build :roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Oh you mean like druid builds where you press one key, or a necro build where you spam the same spell over and over. I posted the videos in response to a fool claiming all rogues were weak, not claiming all builds are subjectivly “fun”

Don’t waste your time. These people don’t even play the game. They live in an alternate reality world where every other class has an infinite amount of meta builds except rogues. They don’t realize that the other classes are on the same boat with only 1 S-tier build. Some classes don’t even have a single S tier build. I’ve played every class to 100 except sorcerer. Rogue easily has the best build variety in this game.

Gotta agree, that rogue does have quite a bit of variations. But noting as insane as other classes that can 2shot world bosses. This the first time we actually reached T100. Mind you, this was after the patch so technically T70.

Rogues were the last to reach solo nm100. And currently most meta builds are just a variation of the barber build. And they just killed off more builds. Builds that they incentivized on making.

I took a non barber flurry build through NM78 Sarat’s Lair yesterday. This was the frost time I have even tried anything above NM60 and it went pretty well. I died 2x to spider explosions with 30% extra shadow dot on top of their already overturned poison dot. Final boss took 20-25 seconds and the health bar steadily melted away. If I choose my sigils a bit more carefully and got better at playing my spec in hard content I could push this another 10-15 levels easily. I will never speedrun. Those things in 3-4 minutes, but a 10 minute run like yesterday is still acceptable for me. Even 15-20 minutes for the very top levels would be fine.

Daaaaaang double barber, the most OP part of the entire season. For reference, since you don’t seem to understand logic - this is strong, rogues have been in the B+ - A tier for damage.

If you think bursting venoms was busted then what do you think about Necro/Druids 1 shotting Lilith? Even barbs can one shot it now, are rogues just supposed to get s*** on every patch and be ok with it? We’re a jack of all trades class and we have 0 king slots. Even druids have faster movement speed than us, multiple classes surpass us in damage, where’s our crown? It used to be build diversity now it’s gone.

Pretty much what it boils down to, bursting venoms still can be procced other ways. But Icy Alchemist is just dead atm, even then it required to be chilled or frozen, which is a CC. So if they become unstoppable, it doesn’t trigger. Including bosses.

So at this point, it’s no longer worthwhile running.

Meanwhile we have other classes fluttering about 1-shotting Lillith, but sure apparently the ‘imbuements’ were staying on target for longer than intended that allowed other attacks to trigger it.

Even though Shadow imbuement, literally implies this exact interaction.

Okay cool, they fixed the taunt. But tbh, I could’ve lived with the heart being screwed. I can switch to another heart as annoying as it’ll be. But the entire build? Paragon, glyphs, leveling different ones, re-theorycrafting the entire board again, starting gear from scratch, and farming that with a build that no longer functions.

At this point just change it so Icy Alchemist triggers again on other attack if the target is shadow imbued and chilled/frozen. it actually makes for a satisfying attack speed build.

Casual Player, got Barrage rogue up to 66 with ease on my limited time (and it was fun being an Uzi mowing things down close range like a maniac).

Then 1.1.1 - now I can’t do the same content as I was before without getting massacred. Fun factor went from 10 to 0 (ZERO)

Paid $99, because I’m old and I loved the original, but season 2 has already been wiped off my plate due to this crap, so no battle pass money for blizzard after this disaster.

Going to Baldur’s Gate 3… AAAs need to step it up!

If you are using the barber, that is the issue. The barber is absorbing your imbued hits. I tested it yesterday on a boss that i was shredding with poison and now im rebuilding around the barber.
