Once the honeymoon phase wears off.. you notice 'it' immediately

‘It’ being the lack of substantiality of the game. They are already getting slammed with 0 star reviews on Metacritic as we speak.

The worst part is just the lack of density and lack of assassination missions. In D3, you’d have bounties where you locate some unique guy and mow him down. In D4, you have a 2 sometimes 3 minute quest timer when adding in the dialogue and wait times.

Oh actually, that’s not the worst part. The worst part is the game SCALING CONSTANTLY, except your gear doesn’t scale. So even if you found a good weapon at level 55, you’re actually getting substantially weaker at level 60, or if with some paragon buffs… maybe a little less than before.

And that leads the the mega problem. You simply don’t feel important or powerful in D4. That powerful feeling of zooming around with a ton of move speed buffs like in D3 or PoE? Gone completely. 10% movespeed buff if you hit a crit… for up to 6 seconds if you crit 6 times. I didn’t sign into this game to roleplay as a weak errandboy adventurer who groups in a pack of 40 cowards vs 1 boss.

Once you get bored, I suggest you put the nail in the coffin by googling the full list of unique and legendary items. Almost everything is 20 and 30% buffs with barely any aspects or powers that actually CHANGE an ability, like in D3. Is there going to be a kicksin with a Rift runeword making tornados and other procs? No. I watched some pro streamers Rogue build and there was basically no animation or pleasing aspect to his entire build. The game is just ugly.

That’s the other part of the monster density issue. Why focus so long on these ‘amazing’ (they all look the same tbh) atmospheres and maps when all you are going to be doing is spamming your horse dash button while looking for a group of monsters greater than 5.

The game won’t last because it’s insulting to the users time and stimulation levels. I actually got sick of this release faster than my last D3 season. The visual animations and combat also aren’t nearly as satisfying as D3 either.

The boss mechanic where the boss gets staggered is also embarassing and ruins the fantasy of the game. Really, Lilith the main boss of the game is on her hands and knees taking a breather in the final fight? Offputting WoW crap.

My group of friends all used to tease this one guy who wasn’t good enough to play Starcraft or Dota or other games because he basically rotted his mind playing WoW and Dynasty Warriors. Now the jokes on me, I spent $70 on a single player WoW clone.

I listened to people complain about inflated power in Diablo III for almost 10 years, and now on day three of this release we have people asking for it back. Gamers are insufferable. Honestly.

Don’t forget to mention the currently 96 positive reviews vs 79 negative. I know it doesn’t fit your rant but that’s where it is right now. Metacritic is kind of a joke anyway but if you’re going to use it, at least be honest about it.

If youre talking about RMT then sure, a bannable offense, but when a lot of people quit their jobs to farm d3 items to sell on their auction house, you knew d3 was dead a week after it came out :skull::skull::skull:

no, its not a bannable offense, because no one gets banned for it, ever. the only reason D2 is alive at all, even the D2R version, is the JSP site and the literal 100:1 bot to player ratio. people were buying enigma DAY ONE of the last season i played. LOLLOL

oh and kid, no one quit their jobs to farm items in diablo LOL where do you hear such farce

I think Diablo 2 was the best. I owned 5 copies of it so me and my friends could set up a LAN in my garage. We played for months every weekend and some weekdays.
But like all things, it got old and we moved on to other games. I don’t expect any game to hold my attention for more than a few months anymore.
