Charge bolt dmg increased from 28 to 30%, just what was holding this baby back! Thank you Blizzard!
And Fireball for 35 instead of 40!
Wowie, I’m a pyromaniac!
The incinerate buffs are really good too. Cant wait to use this spell in high tier nm dung, those skele crossbows will tremble at my still body!
Lets face it. They hate sorc. They didnt even finish sorc. They made every unique a nerf. They made 1 viable high push build (which isn’t even on par with others) and a low/mid game build thats ok.
They nerfed our class several times, and the worst offender was an alpha gameplay for a lvl 25 sorc…
Time to change class.

Yeah, buh-bye Sorc for now.
Yeah, I’m picking a different class for Season 1. No fun allowed everyone. I’m still forced into taking every defensive cool-down to survive.
Odds on sorc going from most-played class to least-played for S1?
Will definitely be playing a different class in season one. I’m only putting an hour or two a day into my Sorc right now, it’s just discouraging that they completely ignore the classes issues.
To be fair, this patch in general is lack-luster and surface level. If they dont step up and make some serious changes they are going to have a ghost-town for season one.
I think blizzard only cares about popularity
your class is popular and therefore must be strong… we wont give you a buff
your build is popular and therefore doesnt deserve buff
if sorc was lowest played class instead of highest played class the changes you see today would have been FAR different
they even acknowledge that sorcs use int, which gives magic resist instead of armor… but we intentionally wont fix it until season 2 because we dont want sorcs to be strong in season 1…
Coin flip I’d say.
Cool name by the way.
time to change the game i think poe2 soon…Blizzard dont have any expirience to balance classes …we wait all for Hydra and fireballbuffs but nothing
And they didn’t even touch the fireball gloves unique. 65-75% damage reduction on a unique, how!? Make it make sense… idk what they’re smoking and I am not sure I want any coz god damn!
hahaha i can’t test right now, cant wait to see the changes !
Very likely since seasons are only played by dedicated players for the most part. Sorcs will remain as a high played eternal realm character class and nothing else. Its really sad because we have so many beautiful animations that just can’t be used at all.
Really don’t know what devs are thinking with this class anymore.
just turn the sorcerer into an npc at once
I’m going to be honest, I don’t have any rational way of conceptualizing how Blizzard analyzed the state of sorcerer and decided that these particular changes would be positively impactful. After the abundance of evidence from the sorcerer community about why sorcerers lack diversity in builds, these changes are nothing less than befuddling.
2% increase to charged bolt, for example. I am GENUINELY curious what went through the mind of those who decided this would impact ANYTHING. Obviously we are all disappointed with this one and all the other lackluster changes, but I want to know, what was the logic? There’s no way that they thought this 2% increase would amount to any change in the use of this skill, right? There’s no way, right?
Unfortunately, even with this patch, you still need to bind, frost armor, flame armor, teleport frost nova in your hotkeys and the patch is indeed amazing
