Already played an SB to pit 125 with trash gear. Have a rogue with amazing gear and sorc with decent gear and cannot really go past 80 in the pit. There is a problem here since to level glyphs effectively to 100, you need to be able to easily to pit 100-105s. The number of builds for other classes to do this is terribly small compared to the SB and this is just bad design/programming. Please buff other classes.
Last season and the season before felt amazing for my rogue and sorc. I played Andariel/Puncture on my rogue and Frozen Orb on my sorc and was having tons of fun. Not so much this season. Also it should be noted that getting Greater Affix items is annoyingly difficult. Please fix this.
I think getting to Paragon 300, getting glyphs to 100, and doing Pit 100 should not be easy tasks.
It just because of the bugs and exploits that made it sound easy with SB. Assume there are no bugs, would you still say getting to Paragon to 300 should be easy? Getting to glyph 100 should be easy? Doing Pit 100 should be easy?
Currently, there are too few builds that can do pit 100 and literally only 1 class that can do pit 150. This should not be the case. I did not even address the time it takes to get to Paragon 300 which I think takes way too long. I vastly prefer the system of Glyph XP over needing to do higher pits to get a better chance to level them. If you put too big of a barrier, people will just quit and play something else.
My issue that you misses was the lack of variety of builds for other classes and the lack of scaling. Literally no other class is doing pit 150s right now and barely ANY builds are doing 100s. This needs to be resolved.
Spiritborn isnt supposed to be able to do pit150 based on current gear and where other classes are at. Blizzard just can’t test their own game and multiple bugs exist on a class that’s likely been in development since the launch of D4. Viscous shield is the most notorious bug that makes no sense how it got live unless they literally can’t play their own game.
Getting to Paragon 300, Glyphs to 100, and completing pit 100 should be attainable by a casual player. If pit 150 is the max, I see no problem with making these “easier” so people can actually have some accomplishments. If hardcore players want a challenge, then that is what 101-150 is for. Leveling things should not be a challenge.
What’s realistically reasonable? Something that caters to your schedule and difficulty?
300 is already achievable by non SB classes. Glyph 100 as well. PIT 100 for sure as well. It’s has been done. The only question is how you define realistically possible? Like an SB?
Because the majority of players are casual. Stop being a snob over a video game…especially one that is part of a series that likely started long before you were even born. I have kids, a job, and other things I need to do in life. Asking to be able to reach a few milestones in a game is not that much to ask for. Pit 100 is not asking much. It is the point where a person can level glyphs reasonably and would fix my issue with the Glyph leveling system.
What I am asking for is not unreasonable and literally how things were in past seasons. This season is a complete crap shoot compared to previous ones.
So that means casuals should be playing hardcore instead because that’s the majority? Or should we remove hardcore because the majority are casuals?
Just because I disagree doesn’t mean I am a snob. I am pointing out the flaw in your argument. I am not being snob. If you have other things to do, why bother getting to Pit 100, Glyphs 100, and Para 300? Should you not focus on more important things? Should I assume you are mismanaging your time? Or are you snobbing more important things in your life?
How things were in the past? So you enjoy seeing builds that can’t do Infernal T7 and T8 in S5? You enjoy seeing builds getting left out by Ball Lightning? You prefer the original NM 100s difficulty prior to the nerf? You enjoy the hard CC before it was neefsd to the death?
And this is the entire problem with the community supporting this. Assuming both builds are well thought out, the build with amazing gear should always perform better than the build with crap gear. That’s the entire point of the gear grind, luck of rng, time investment, etc. How no one gets this and why Class AND Skill balancing is so important is beyond me.
The last 2 seasons were great. The ones before not so much. They had things good with the last 2 but decided to screw it all up with this season. There are definitely some good positive items with this season. Having masterworking mats drop from nightmare is a plus. But instead of adding more, they replaced how things were. These changes were not for the best.
I find S3 bland. But other folks like it. S5 was good but really bad when it comes to Infernal. You are basically pigeonholed to run meta if you wanna do T7 or T8. And Infernal is what mattered the most for most folks.
What build did you run in S5? Did you run a non SB equivalent (LS would be like the equivalent) and you had fun clearing those tiers?
