No Trading = Dead Game

What’s an mmo game without trading, seriously.

Nice discord server… IT SUUUUUUUCKS

Season 1 is basically gems with aspects on them. What a great idea,
No idea for me to come with constructive criticism here, you already got it from 1000 other threads.

Blizzard, do you even listen or do you want the player base completely gone?

I don’t want trading in the game, so I don’t care.

Yup, add lottery uber rare and the game is not worth playing. I gave it a good score up when I realizes that there’s nothing to shoot for beyond 60+. Because there’s no trading and don’t feel like playing 10yrs+ to have a chance getting something worth my time.

Trading wouldn’t solve this issue, they would just adjust drop rates to be even lower to “balance” the game around trading.

Yeah, it’s insane there’s no trading when you consider there’s really nothing to do in the game and how much end game activity trading brings.

Especially since there are items that have literally dropped once so far. If those people could trade them off, they’d be rich. As it stands currently, they’re still rich, they just have to sell their entire account(s) then remake another one.

The lack of trading is just lazy. They clearly thought it’d excuse them from dealing with bots, but now, the bots just level entire accounts then sell those accounts for real money, lol.

Well this is a completely useless thread

It is unless you want to trade or actually have use for items even if they are to be sold third party. However i stick to my original idea of trading an item loses power etc (never more powerful than finding it yourself).

there is trading.
Ancestral rares are most of the time BIS and are tradeable.

there is merely some items (legendary / uniques) that cannot be traded as per the philosophy of the devs stating that some items should only be earneable through playing the game

and i think it’s a nice philosophy personally when you see how much of a bot wasteland D2R and D2 became very quickly.

people should earn some of their stuff on their own instead of relying on P2W / RMT or trading thousands pebbles for a rarer item it’s a farming game after all.

that being said stating that there is no trading simply because you have to find unique/legendary is simply false, the rest is tradeable.

there is usually more topic against trading than there is for it though especially amount of like wise.

That being said i wouldn’t mind a trading league and a “everything bound” league if it comes down to it.
atleast one of the two won’t have bots everywhere and i’ll be sure to play the no-trading league personally, or should i say “us” because i don’t play alone.

What does this gibberish mean?

Give us a season that letd us join a faction.

A fraction that can trade, they have the downside of lower droprates and harder to find specific agfgix combos.
The other fraction cant trade but has increased droprates, crit chance and dmg are combined etc to lower bad affix chances.

That way every one can join the fraction they prefer and playstyle. If you hate trading, fine, go to the “Lonesome wanderers” and have better dropchances and affix combos for soloing.

If you love trading you gotta live with even lower dropchances than now for tempest roar, but you can trade it for gold or other items and play the eco game like in D2

I’ve heard people who don’t even get the easy unique they want for their build. RNG is a nightmare and no trading ensure to make people quit faster.

I would say he is right trading is a huge part of the reason why D2 and PoE can keep people playing the game for thousands of hours. No SSF game has the same kind of longevity for most hardcore gamers. And by the way both games have SSF options if u dont like trading but D4 forces everyone to play SSF which is a huge drawback for many players. But D4 also has another problem which is the itemization system itself, its simply boring and items are too generic with no identity at all which is why trading alone wont fix D4

they should enable trading, we already dont have auction house or RMAH. there no real reason to limited in game interaction between player, its not a hard game. at least make regular unique tradable, ppl r frustrated when ppl found 10x tempest roar and there ppl who cant even find one all the way to 100.

An MMO game with less scams and less people asking if you need that drop.

It would be interesting to allow 1 trade per item.

You would at least stop the item flippers.

Yes there is, there is every reason to not having trading. I wish they would cut it out of the game entirely. Trading between players introduces far more problems than it solves. It’s been the bane of MMO games since it’s inception and players won’t just let go of it.

As if that makes up for not having trading. lmao. Scamming is fairly easy to avoid. I have 4k hours in POE1 and I’ve never gotten scammed. They just added a freaking feature that you need to mouse over the item you’re about to trade before you can click accept. lmao.

Solution is simple play SSF. PoE has SSF and D2 has single player yet 90% or so of the playerbase plays trade league. Besides if they would actually make a working tradesite like PoE this scamming problem u talk about will be very rare. Benefit of having trade vs none trade outweighs the drawbacks by far. In fact in all my 14k hours of PoE i cant even remember being scammed at all dont even think anyone tried

I disagree. People coming from other ARPG’s or MMO’s are often perplexed at the lack of trading in D4. It’s only the D3 crowd who thinks it’s good to have no trading. Even then, it’s only the no-lifers who think it’s competitive (and they win by playing nonstop) to have no trading so the more you play the better you are at the item race.

The funny thing is that it’s so easy to get geared in D3, you’re fully bis after like 3 days, so it makes sense to have no trading at all.

In something like D4, they royally screwed the itemization pooch in multiple ways, but having insanely rare items while also having no trading is one of the big issues.

There is no reason other than YOU dont want it. SSF mode is where u belong but dont try and force ur playstyle on everyone else by false statements. Most games in this genre that stood the test of time has trading
