New season quest line not showing up

just making double sure

upon character creation, you click in the upper left corner “Change campaign State”

Then chose “start with Vessel of Hatred campaign completed”. (if that option is there for you).

Just making extra sure, you wouldnt be the first, and neither the last to miss this, as they changed the creation a while back.

I even logged out for you ;P!

Could you verify that the witchcraft line is NOT available to eternal players? I’m confused.

Since i doubt youll get a fast answer, as i assume he/she is busy, i can verify you that the witchcraft line is not available on eternal. Just like seasonal powers before.

In the time you’ve been complaining about it in this thread and others - you could have completed the intro to VoH. You don’t even have to complete the full campaign, just the prologue.

Someone posted earlier it appeared when The Den unlocked.

Just to clarify for anyone who can’t figure this out:

Once you clear the prologue, you have two options:

  1. Continue to finish the campaign
  2. Create a new character and skip the campaign

oh, its only the prologue thats needed to skip the campaign really? it didnt seem to be the case for him

Just you know, trying to be extra sure here. we know the forums will be flooded with this ^^

Whoa… you can actually skip the campaign without completing it, ever???

These people are utterly ridiculous then.

I concluded that he went to his eternal character and did the prologue… then went back to his existing seasonal character which did not skip the campaign at creation. That character must do the whole campaign. He should just delete it and make a new one.

It just occurred to me - that Path game over there forces players to re-do the entire campaign each season(equivalent). Wonder if their heads would explode upon that revelation???

not only that - also each character :stuck_out_tongue:
Lets not think about that really. I can shake my head only so often per day without getting a stiff neck ^^

ah alrighty. thanks for the info <3

If its just the prologue, log into an eternal character and let it run until its done. Then go start a seasonal character.

I agree its a pretty strange decision by blizz, but at least you dont have to run the whole campaign everytime you make a character like in other games. I enjoyed the campaign, but I would hate having to replay it every three months on every single character just to enjoy the new season mechanics. Thats just…dumb design.

of all the things to complain about too much story takes the cake!

Since it’s only the prologue, I actually like it now. I thought I needed the whole campaign. I wish it worked the exact same as now for the base game, so we can play the campaign together with a season at a high world tier. They could also put achievements there like defeating a campaign boss at highest torment level

When a story is as bad as d4’s even 5 minutes of it feels like 5 lifetimes.

I won’t claim it is great, but I’ve seen far worse story in games :stuck_out_tongue:

But SRS now… I think most people here know i do not hold back if i feel something is bad, but … They communicated all of the above explanation well in advance of the season. for people to not take the time to know how to play the game, and then whine that the developer is stupid … after they took the time to come on to a forum and explain it… is just really childish projecting imho

Witchcraft is this season’s theme. No, it is not available to Eternal, just like always.

Are you referencing the main base Diablo IV storyline? or the expac storyline?

I thought the main games storyline was actually Diablo inspired way more than the base version of Diablo III was.

I am in no rush to jump into Season 7 right away. I still have not completed the main questline in VOH just the same. The reason is: I am replaying the the main storyline.

I want to see how the base game functions with the post season 4 changes and additional changes from VOH.

This is something that as a player, I am intentionally doing myself. Yes, it will be Hardcore Expert.
