Lets list our wish list changes for the mid season, and lets try and be realistic. It will be amsuing to see how wrong we all are
my wish list is:
- Warrior and mage glyphs have their secondary power changed to a minion damage multiplier of some kind, along with a buff to the primary additive damage of warrior, mage and golem.
- Large damage buff to skeletal warriors.
- Army of the dead gets another utility function, either vulnerable uptime or barrier generation.
- GA uniques always roll perfect unique power (in other words all GA Mendelns are good)
Now obviously there are many many more things that need changing or fixing, but im just thinking of changes I personally would love that I think would be fairly realistic.

Major buffs for DoT builds. I love bleed poison and shadow builds but they are all pretty lackluster (outside of Spiritborn due to bugs). Creeping Death needs to not be so contingent on staggers too.
Would really like a Blight rework, maybe chain to 2-3 enemies and creates a puddle under each enemy.
Minions move 25% faster than the player.
Minions ai is improved for IH (they actually go after masses).
Love the minion node rework ideas. It really wouldnât take ant effort or testing to actually make it work.
AND a temper affix with cd reduction, pls.

Another add:
Minions have a base 10% lucky hit chance
Minions inherit 100% of your lucky hit chance bonuses.
Shadowblight triggers every damage instance and scales at 300%x of your bonuses
The cap on wither is removed.
Minions are able to trigger xfals
Affliction doubles in damage every second up to 200%x

+1 to support DoT builds/damage.
Removing the wither cap and also buffing Affliction to scale much higher on longer fights would absolutely be a good start.
There is ultimate cdr temper allready. I would rather see an increased duration temper for AotD.

There should be an easy way to get 100% uptime on all the ultimates without resorting to aspects and multiple tempers. We should be able to have a build focused around ultimate skills similar to a rogue (which also needs improvements)
yes. This is true⌠Ive forget that.
So it seems they are buffing druid and sorc a far amount while necro is âfineâ in their eyes. I think they will post patch notes with loads of really minor changes, and I am now thinking we wonât see any changes at all to minion damage, if we are very lucky maybe a 5% increase. I think we will have to wait for season 7 for real change if any to spell functionality.
I think their mentality is necro as a class is fine, and since minions are under that umbrella minions are also fine, when they are not.
Oh well it was funny hoping
According to the chat, they are buffing all Basic skills, some Passives skills, and some Uniques. More information will be in the Patch notes, but at first glance I donât see how what they shared for Necromancer achieves their stated goal of buffing the power level for each class. What I saw very much looked like buffs to underused and underperforming skills/items which would appear to have very little impact on Necromancerâs power level overall.

yep!
I need to recalibrate my expectations for mid season patches from big changes + a new unique to just âtweaksâ. I think we have to expect those big changes at the start of a season going forward.
So I just checked the top ranked Necromancer Maxroll builds and out of the 11 listed (including the one F build), only one uses a Basic skill.
Again, I donât understand how buffing Basic skills, when seemingly most âtopâ builds donât USE Basic skills, somehow achieves their stated purpose of buffing the overall class power. This seems much more like encouraging people to use skills not currently used at all, which is NOT the same as buffing class power overall.
Iâll wait to read the Patch notes, and maybe the Passive changes and Unique changes will have an impact, but based on what they showed, I just donât see the Necro class getting any significant power boost.

One could argue that they donât need it, if one were to ignore the requirement of Overpower in every build.
I hate to say it, but Blizzard just doesnât know what theyâre doing. They make changes earlier in the gameâs history to adjust the requirement of Crit/Vuln modifiers, but now Overpower just takes its place. Theyâve spent multiple patches on itemization, but now non-ancestral legendary items are now just instant scrap because you quickly get to a point theyâre not going to be used as items nor can improve your codex.
At some point, someone with actual leadership skills has to decide what game theyâre really building and then be able to execute the plan. The way theyâre going now they are constantly redoing the same things and generating the same results, but with different names.
These mid season patches never bought significant changes, only tweaks. So you should rename the post to S7 wish list.
they did all the way up to season 4, I remember the days we used to get mid season uniques
season 3 was a huge mid season patch that took me from not being able to kill uber lilith with my pure minion summoner to being able to kill her quite easily.
Anyway, i think going forward we can expect just minor changes as they are clearly swamped with work given how much they have changed and how they have been struggling to keep the game in reasonable shape regarding bugs and stability.
So far they have walked back on the yearly expansion plan and mid season content patches⌠which is probably for the best, both for their devâs sanity and the health of the game.
My memory is not great, but I donât remember big updates in mid-season patches. But you are right there were some big changes in some seasons.
Boost to damage across the board of at LEAST 20% for all builds.
Would also be nice if the raise skeleton button allowed you to also direct your skeletons towards an enemy when no corpses are around.
LMAO, absolutely zero minion buffs, you canât make it up. 2 steps forward, one step back.
I would have said the gloom change is a minor buff, but in reality minion damage is so tiny in endgame compared to the mendeln proc, it really doesnât account for anything.
