I guess I’m confused as to what you’re saying here because it reads like you’re suggesting Blizzard is actively being acquired by Activision and still experiencing growing pains from that merger as if it’s recent when it occurred over fifteen years ago.
It made more sense when D3 launched but at this point I think Blizzard needs to own their decisions and the way they treat their customers.
Perhaps you’ve never experienced the corporate world the same way as I have?
I do believe Blizzard is actively experiencing growing pains from that merger.
Because when an old boss gets removed and a new boss takes over guess what happens regardless of duration of time that has passed up until it happens again?
I completed level 20 NM on druid and was given the quest for the tier 4 capstone dungeon when I was level 59. I wonder if you can still receive the quest like that to get in early. This was solo, however. I don’t know if that makes a difference.
lol, sure bud, I don’t know anything about corporate mergers and that’s why I don’t agree Blizzard is still reeling from a corporate merger in 2008.
or maybe you didn’t realize the merger occurred in 2008 and that’s why you used terms like “going through” an acquisition that already happened and that they’ve got “new” management that is anything but new.
Yet another blizzard game that will make a lot of things be behind a paywall, like if you want a decent amount of XP from a lot of everything, even just for a little XP boost its going to run you about $25 just to be able to get say another 10% XP. Just because this is how blizzard games go now. Plus the nerf to XP in general will make it just harder to get to the required level for the new capstone requirements. If you ask me they’re doing something completely stupid and should probably find a way to fix it some time soon. Hopefully the ‘Campfire Chat’ on Friday will be able to clear some of this stuff up, because its honestly ridiculous.
So this is for new characters? Cause my preexisting character in WT3 can enter the Fallen Temple just fine at level 47 (level requirement should be 70 I thought?).
I’ve been playing Blizzard games since Warcraft 1 demo that I downloaded on 56k dial up on AOL.
They aren’t the same.
Neither is their payroll.
Look man, I’m trying to defend the indefensible here and failing with flying colors.
I don’t understand who this change was supposed to not agitate.
The longtime Diablo players have been raising concerns about seasonal leveling and how reknown fits into that for some time and the millions of new customers, who have never played a Diablo game before, were also concerned about what seasonal playing even meant for their gametime.
In response, Blizzard has been stating and implying seasonal leveling would be faster than off-season yet here in our first patch in preparation for seasonal play they both decimate XP gains and make it more difficult for veterans to help each other. I can’t imagine HC sustaining these changes for long, if at all. Numerous people in my clan have already informed me they aren’t coming back for seasonal play. Not that it matters, we’re just a handful of players, but these are all guys who played D3 from launch day until D4’s early opening day.

You can complete the capstone but can’t unlock the next World Tier at the World Tier Statue.

They put the CAP back in capstone!
Aren’t you thankful? Don’t you have a phone? Then we doubled it!

If that’s true then that’s indeed bad change. Not because of powerleveling but because there was never frakking reason on any class to wait that long for transition to higher WT.

The World Tier Statue never states the required level. It says “Recommended for: Levels 70+”. We should be able to challenge ourselves at a lower level and unlock the next world tier.

Oh, that is a really positive change.
I would have lowered the cap a bit though. Like 5 lvls lower, so you could go for more challenge if you wanted to.
yeah i like being gated by grinding for the arbitrary reason of some people were having too much fun being able to have multiple characters to play within a reasonable amount of time
thank christ someone at blizzard put an end to that BS

Maybe a bug.
After my wife and I completed the T3 capstone into T4, we couldn’t use the statue until we logged out. Both of us had the same issue, and relogging fixed it.
Is it 50 or is it 48 (or 47) when you used to get the quest?
They changed something about how doing story missions in a party works (and fixed progress sharing)…it probably broke this as well and might not be intended.
Did the ppl doing this invite their lvl 1 friend or did the lvl 1 friend go in the capstone first the invite ?
It did say required…
Also whoever made this post is dumb … who must of made their first alt… cause my level 68 barb is walking around WT4 like nothing…
You want to slow powerleveling ? Just make these dungeons solo only and leave people to do them whenever they want,
Yeah, don’t thank me blizzard
It says recommended right now, like it did since launch.
Also the complaint is that ON NEW ALTS YOU CAN’T DO THAT ANYMORE (unless they did it “wrong” and didn’t have the low lvl be party leader which MIGHT be relevant NOW - it wasn’t before).

Well this stinks. I beat these challenges under level solo, and I would expect to be able to unlock harder content if I can beat it solo.
