I enjoy the online aspect, but I hope they can add the ability to make offline characters for people who prefer that in the future.

They are not going to give this an offline mode just like they refused to for D3 on PC. I never preordered D4, as a longtime WoW/D2 player i learned my lesson preordering anything from Blizzard anymore after Dragonflight. Seeing Diablo immoral made my trust go even further down.
Im lvl 15 on my Necro at the moment and i had to force myself to play this far. To be honest i dont trust Blizzard anymore and there is nothing that says they wont add P2W microtransactions or some other stupid thing after they got everyones purchases. Maybe ill buy it one day on sale in a year or so after i see what their next move is and servers stabilize.

Interesting that you cancelled your order, as I have done the complete opposite.
I waited until the Open Beta to have a look at how D4 stacks up against D3. Yes, it’s MMO. I’m hoping that if we can create private lobbies much like D3, then that would be a big plus for all around.
As a result, I have put in a preorder for the game. Two copies, in fact. One for myself, and one for my husband.
But honestly? The fluidity of gameplay, graphics, and near-seamless maps makes this game quite enjoyable.
Don’t forget: the beta events have been put on just for the very reason of debugging, and seeing how the game can be improved. Blizzard will no doubt comb through the forums and see what suggestions are trending from players, especially those of us who have been on the Blizztrain for over a decade.

from my limited playtime all i felt was a soft mmo mixed with lost ark and a few other games which tbh is not diablo - i literally unistalled it same as my wife and went back to D3 lol and heck even my 17 year old son said some choice words while watching us play … too many cinematics to start with too - story or not its just weird and janky

I totally get that – the start of the game was… not good to me either. I left off on a sour note after getting to the first capitol city.
When I logged in the next day, my opinion changed quite a bit. I had quests and side quests and could explore all kinds of stuff.
It’s a live service game, so it’s not going to appeal to all Diablo fans… but I do think the intro to the game really didn’t help at all.
I have cancel my preorder too, just not good enough for me.

They are adding microtransactions and p2instaupgrade options like in Diablo Immortal. They said this way before they put up the trailers.

Dude I played ever day during closed beta and currently for open. I have not seen that many people crowding anywhere. They limit the amount of people allowed in one zone anyways. You can turn name plates off as you usually can.
But if this post is any indication of your personality and behavior, then please by all means save the rest of us from having to play in a game world with you in it.

The they said it won’t be like immortal and is going to be cosmetics. Probably things like mounts, pets, emotes, and skins.
What game doesn’t have these types of stores anymore?

Yes, it is online only. Even co-op needs a blizzard account and you have to login! There is no local game. There’s no regular multi-player where you are playing across the internet with just each other and the map is on someone’s device. There would be no service needing to be connecting to.

The pre-order ultimate bonus includes a jump in the battle pass. Thats a pay 2 win feature there already going to be rank 20 when they start the battle pass. I imagine they will like Diablo immortal add the one time purchase of empowerment battle pass so you get double rewards. I imagine they would do the instant upgrade microtransactions too. I don’t think they will implement the subscription for the rift doubles & that dungeon daily double rewards.
The paid battle pass does not include anything other than cosmetic items. And blizzard has said that you still have to meet character level requirements to use the things unlocked in those tiers. So many people don’t do their due diligence. Kinda sad.

I do agree this game needs solo play, if you pay for something you should be able to use it without having internet. Also want to point out that 98% of players that say there done with Diablo buy, play, and love the game for years.
