When using “move/interact” key to pick up items, you can no longer pick up items by clicking on their label. This is new in patch 1.4.2, as before you were able to pick up items just by clicking on their text labels.
You can still pick up items with their labels if you have the option enabled to combine move/interact/basic skill in one button, or if you use a dedicated Interact button. It is only when using move/interact that this is an issue.

"do you happen to play with WASD controls? I’ve had the same problem since patch 1.4.2! For me it occurs when I play with WASD controls and have deactivated “combine move/interact/basic skill slot” and have bound “move & interact” to a separate key! you have to click on the icon of the item and not the name of the item, which doesn’t work if several items are on top of each other or next to each other!
it’s practically like playing with a controller, where unfortunately there is the problem that you can’t specifically pick up certain items that are stacked on top of each other! the game automatically picks up the item that is lowest in the list and you then have to sort out the ones you don’t want!
this is really annoying!

can confirm: the bug is back again… wtf is blizzard doing? i guess now we have to wait again until next season for it getting fixed…
and the performance also tanked massively after this patch: im now getting really low fps (mostly )in town! open world seems to be fine for the most part… and gpu load is now at 99% !!!
Bug is definitely back. And I have found that changing bind to “Interact” rather than “Move & Interact” does have my character walk over to and pick up an item by clicking on the label. I remember that it’s not supposed to do that, it’s supposed to keep you in place, but it is currently acting the way “Move & Interact” did before this patch for me.
Fair. I usually only pick up items while spam clicking after a tormented boss/blood maiden right now, so that was probably not something I was going to catch. Still, works better than “Move & Interact” does right now, since it actually works on item labels.
