I can’t stand watching what you’re doing to my favorite game anymore. In the previous season, I played almost all the time, farming so that in the end, I managed to complete Pit 150. Now people are doing it on the third day of the season, and what’s left to do in the game after that?
I have a suggestion that might help the game a little. Just create two separate game modes:
A mode for casual players – where they get everything right away. You might as well give them the goat from the city (the one from the PTR).
A mode for true hardcore players – where it’s genuinely hard to get items and aspects. Something similar to Season 6, but with fewer uber uniques.
Lots of builds are abusing ultimates and mage cant do that as good. Deep freeze is the bes they can do and deep freeze is awful. Along with enchantments sucking worse than other heroes powers and items competing with each other for BL in focus, and devour blaze nerfs and Bliz thinking a healing firebolt enchant would be good.
I will say my less than a week in character is stronger than my 2 months or whatever it was I played character from last season.
How common is completing pit 150 right now? Spiritborn had it gift wrapped for them last season that’s for sure. Did they also get the Fell Maven title too? Ho ho ho! Here comes Santa Clause for all ye who chose the Spiritborn class!
They probably should raise pit max to 200. 150 was supposed to be unattainable but I think 130 and 140 have been cleared by quite a few people? Less than a week in.
They should add more difficulty to aspects of the game. So we have more reason to get stronger than just pit levels. Or killing Duriel faster. I suggest this because they are not going to nerf player power. Dare I say a couple more torment levels oh I dare even though it seems to rustle some people’s jimmies.
Wait a week and try the new d3 season. It’s what I’m doing, as bad as d3 was it’s a work of art compared to this. It’s really sad, I wonder if they can ever turn the franchise around. I would like to see a world with more than one good arpg. The genre is starving for competition.
How about you stop worrying about what others are playing and/or play a build that isn’t broken?
Even in PoE non-ruthless mode I don’t have 9000h/day to try and craft 1 single good weapon.
I also don’t want to do P150 in the 1st weekend D4 season starts.
Your post could be taken seriously if you only asked for better balance from the devs.
I’m not talking about class balance, because that will always be poorly balanced. What I’m talking about is that Blizzard can’t decide whether the game should be for casual players or for those who like grinding. Personally, I enjoy challenging games, and this season in Diablo is just a joke. As I already mentioned, it’s the third day of the season, and some people already have level 150 completed. So what? The game is over? Why keep playing? In my opinion, introducing two game modes wouldn’t be technically difficult, and it would allow not only casual players to enjoy the game.
Diablo 4 (just like Diablo 3) will always be a very easy game with the builds and items raining from the sky. The issue with this is that a 3 month season is technically only a week long for most players. It seems like this is the direction the team want to go in, and the feedback they got from most players is that they want an easy game to plow through. They listened, and granted it.
I would suggest more difficult ARPG’s. I don’t want to suggest which ones, but there are a few out there.
I agree with you, but there are probably many players who don’t like an easy experience and still enjoy playing in D4 mode, just like I do. That’s why my suggestion is to add two more modes alongside the normal and hardcore modes: HC Grind and SC Grind. This way, everyone would be happy.
If you dont like it and is to easy make it harder for yourself, not to hard to do that. I like necro sofar and having a blast. I guess the vast majority use builds so dont and dont say you dont use builds. I think yeah sure
I realize this isn’t the ideal solution for the issues you’re attempting to address but in this season of D4, I decided ahead of time that I would play 1-2 other games at the same time.
I don’t usually take this approach. Usually, I all out on X ARPG until I feel enough is enough for that season. XP, etc for this season from what I saw ahead of time looks like they are almost/pseudo making this into more of a mobile game. My attempt for longevity this season, as said, is to play 1-2 other games at the same time and so far, it’s actually working for me!
-Starting to think of this game as a once in a while or a late night/tipsy night/I can’t think–sort of game has helped me categorize it in a more helpful way. Other ARPGs are there for if you want like… color or challenge or depth. This one is great if you want mindlessness.
Sometimes, I really do want the brain-dead thing, so I don’t mind. Get that you’re asking for a bit more.
Also, they do have a hardcore mode… which you requested… so, errr… okay?
