Is the idea to nerf and never buff so every class is just ... miserable?

in the beta before this one it was sorc > necro > rogue > druid > barb from my pov
and now its sorc >>>>> rogue > druid > barb > necro

How long until sorc is so nerfed it’s miserable.

Like the game is no longer fun.

I put 120 hours into the fnf alpha and then tons more time in the betas.

Do I want OP? NO. Do I want, loot pinata? NO

Do I want every boss including every dungeon boss to feel like a pinnacle boss? NO.

If every boss feels like a pinnacle boss, then pinnacle bosses are no longer special.

Because of my time in the fnf alpha, the second act boss and now the next to last boss of the campaign I fear is unclearable.

But at this point D2, PoE and GrimDawn are more enjoyable than the version of the game Server Slam presented.

Summon Necro? Revert wasn’t enough.
Storm+Wind Druid? sucks now
Frost sorc? Unplayable because relying on CC effects that don’t work on bosses to buff their performance makes them utterly useless on anythint except wildlife.

Who on earth would want to face the Butcher with the state of the current classes?

I refunded in the middle of the server slam event, because I do not feel the team knows how to balance fun.

If buffs/nerfs is made before game releases I dont see any problem, it’s for the good of the game, if they start doing nerfs/buffs during a season it would be bad. :beers:

open beta was way too easy for most of the classes, this game won’t be super fun if you mow down everything on your way super easily.
In my opinion almost everyone needed a nerf, so it’s a game not a cookie clicker.

Sounds like this game just isnt for you. That’s ok.

I don’t think anyone needed a nerf. I think Barbarian and Druid needed a buff. All the classes should be fun. What you call “overpowered” is actually just “fun.” If we’re playing seasons over and over leveling should actually be fun. Bring back the fun, and stop nerfing things that aren’t broken.

The game should be fun and feel like all the classes are OP on WT1. Classes shouldn’t have to struggle at all on WT1.

Everyone has their own idea of fun, for me necro in open beta was fun,
for 2 hours, and then extremely boring to play.

So you expected a game journalist to actually be able to play the game efficiently? Also by the sounds of it you also can’t play the game efficiently since you think dungeon bosses are difficult lol

Also good riddance! Go play d3 or immortal seems more up to par with your skill level

They don’t struggle on wt2 so they definitely don’t struggle on wt1 sounds like a skill issue on your and OPs part

They were broken or they wouldn’t have gotten nerfed

buffs are how you get power creep

i’m all for buffing things that need to be buffed, but nerfing is necessary too

They nerfed classes to heavy. To the point that made the game not fun at all, and killed most of the builds.
Druids the worst class by far in damage and resource management got everything that was supposed to help with damage and resource generation early game nerfed. Druids now are literaly unable to luck hit(by the way luck hit was the way to deal damage and recover resource at caster druid end game).
Now you have 3, 20 s cd source of damage and thats its (companion skills).
The pacing was perfect now its awfull.
Sorcs they killed every single build. The only viable thing now its fire wall(before bosses got chilled and slowed, not world bosses but regular ones). Necro they increased the skeleton damage, but you need the level 25-26 passive so they have any chance to attack at all. Barb they gave 10% Dr and reduce everything else to the point this 10 became useless. And nerfed the way barb generate resources end game (shouts or leap ground slam).

They did do buffs. They will simply have a baseline and nerf or buff to match that baseline

Will have to say the hydras and sword skills for sorc seem so bad atm they could of just removed them
