Just wondering if rank 8 is even worth it , at least doing once for an achievement or title ? I looked through all the challenges in game and could not find any so I’m curious if anyone else has it or worth doing. I normally just do 7s for the materials and gold.
Only if you can clear it as fast as 7 or want to farm more Stygian Stones. Otherwise, its better to just do 7s. You get plenty of Neathiron from it and faster killing means more burning aether.

Tier 8 is definitely worth it if you can do it about as fast as you do a T7. More mats, more gear, maybe more gold? Idk, I never take the gold chest. But T7 is great too if you’re not melting through T8 yet

For personal achievement purposes, yes, it’s worth it. Other than that, if you can farm T8 fast enough and more efficient than T7, then do T8. Otherwise, there’s no reason at all.
It’s the same reason with NM 100. You don’t need to do NM 100. You can level your glyphs prior to that level. But as you go strong, it becomes more efficient to level your glyphs in NM 100 instead of NM 90 or NM 50. For achievement purposes and build check, it’s good to test your build in NM 100.

I did actually do an 8 but I died once to the dumb desecrator bugs. I wasn’t sure if that botched my attempt for a new achievement or title. 7s are much more do’able for me 
It is if youve got good gear and are running a meta build so you can do them easily/quickly. Most people will have better luck on 7 though

I did one tier 8 horde on my barbarian expecting that there would be an achievement or title or something - I was surprised there was nothing. I haven’t run a tier 8 since.
In T8 stygian stones drop at a rate of around 1 stone per 6 materials chest pulls (about twice as often as T7). So, if you can farm it well, you get about twice as many stones per run at around 3 more minutes spent.
There is one more wave, so if you have godly buffs (multiple surging hellborne) you have another round to utilize your full buffs to get ~200 more aether
If you’re playing an S-tier build with very good gear (LS Sorc, Andy’s Rogue) then T8 is worth it.
If you’re not playing an S-tier build or your gear is not yet optimized, do T7 until your damage and survivability make T8 feel like T7.
Best to do T4. Thats what i do and get the most rewards. I get around 500-700 aether from T4 depending on the RNG but on T7 in which i clear the mobs pretty much at the same speed i get around 300 aether.
I did a t8 last night solo, i died twice in the waves (wave 5 and wave 7) i picked easier choices and managed to get into the council room (with 0 lives). That fight took a crazy amount of time but I managed to do it and my fingers and hands were cramping up so many button pressings haha
I wont be doing t8s anymore, did it once and for me t7 is just way easier and more rewarding
If you have good clear speed it is much better. Chest itself isn´t much better but that +1 wave can be a huge difference.

I prefer T8 for Stygian. T7 for everything else.
Problem with T4 is that it doesn’t drop the highest tier masterworking materials. It drops in T7+, so that’s why most people shoot for that tier.
If you are getting more aethers in T4 than T7, then there is a problem. in your T7 attempt, you may have gotten unlucky and did not get the good bonuses. Or, your build is not yet strong enough to kill things fast enough. Highest tiers always have the potential to drop more aethers simply because there are more waves. It’s a matter of how fast and effectively you can kill stuff.
I agree. When it comes to T8, there is a difference between “being able to complete it” and “being able to complete it efficiently”.
for most people if it takes more than 18-19 minutes to do, not worth, since most people can do t7 in about 12.
ss drop rate is double of t7.
Mats: 25 neath to 30 neath.
Drops: I think there’s higher chance to get 4 then 3.
Generally speaking, the time to reward ratio seem around 1.5 ish x T7 clear times.
whats funny is i cant even do a pit 61 (boss fight eats me up) before my time runs out. But I can clear t7 hordes very easy and I like the pause break we get inbetween. This is much more weekend warrior/dad style play.
I got a wife and a dog and recently my youngest moved back home. So if I get called away during the pit even for a minute, im screwed but for the horde i can just wrap up the current wave and take a 10 minute afk break
you do not get any title or achievement for clearing the t8. I was expecting something but nada (I also already have the secret title for completely everything on the tasks) which I belive one of those is clear a t7
I assume you have problems with the 1 hit boss mechanics?
Each one hit has a “tell” to avoid.
Look them up on youtube.
Because after 61 its all the same to me up to about 110 ish when my dps isnt strong enough to clear within 5 minutes.
