Running into invisible walls in overworld. Seems to happen in Helltides and when entering legion or world boss events. I have to travel back to town and then back again to try and get in.
Me, too. Happens more frequently in evenings {I’m Eastern Time Zone). Last night while traveling from the nearest town to a world boss area, I got “locked” in place 4 times, turning a 1 minute ride into a frustrating 4-5 minutes.
If you could please add a post to my current thread for series x bugs. No one is getting replies in individual posts. Maybe if we all post to one thread they will answer.
Thank you
I’m also encountering invisible walls. I have a couple of screen captures on my Xbox that I can share
I have the same problem… at first I thought I had connection problems, but I checked and my connection works fine… I don’t know what to do because it prevents me from playing world bosses and legions
I am having this issue too. It’s really frustrating. It’s prevented me from world bosses and Legion events and I am not able to unlock all the waypoints because I get stuck against an invisible wall trying to cross zones. I’m currently stuck unable to leave Gea Kip at all without teleporting.
Found a work around. Log out to character select while on the zone line then back in.
Same issue for me too, can share recordings if it helps but think the description covers it. At boundaries I hit a wall where I can run in spot but not get past.
As annoying as it is, if you just wait there for a minute or two you’ll eventually be able to get past the invisible wall.
All these invisible walls are getting ridiculous, never had this problem in any other season. Trying to teleport to town often just sits on loading screen forcing me to quit and reload d4
If you guys have any footage capture via your Xbox with this, please share. It will be beneficial for us to repro
I always assumed it was my computer. I’d hit a wall for a bit, no mobs around, then I’d start dying and mobs would spawn then I could move again.
Although I’ve never had to go back to town to fix it as others are saying.
It won’t let me include link to the Xbox screen captures
I also get really long load screens and have tested my network 78mbps download 18mbps upload 20ms latency, my Xbox is wired to the router.
Other wise really enjoying the season thank you.
It’s just a zone transition barrier thing. On Xbox series x at least with cross play enabled, when going to wb or legion or Helltide, my character periodically runs into the zone transition wall. Likely because it’s trying to network with other players and join their world.
Not a lag issue, but a cross network seemlessness issue. I haven’t tried shutting off cross network to see if I run into the walls still.
The fix is usually to exit game to character select and renenter, but that might take enough time to miss the event or you at least lose your consumable buffs.
This works but downside is any elixir active is gone when log back in
I also have experienced the invisible walls. I’ve had them leaving towns, entering fortresses, bosses, etc. As mentioned, seems to be a crossing issue between overland and new area.
I resolve by teleporting to town and back. What a pain!
I can only resolve it by quitting the game and reloading.
I tried to travel/teleport back to town or travel/teleport to another city and try using another path, but that usually doesn’t do it for me. On top of that, I’m often stuck in a 5+ minutes loading screen when trying to teleport anywhere - just to stay in the same spot (I.e., teleporting seems to time out).
Its so frustrating. I basically cannot play or advance. I cannot enter legions, helltides, or some other random areas. Ive tried teleporting but that either lags for 5 minutes and im still where i started or i cannot leave the town and transition into the next area. Ive also tried changing characters and have the same issue. Im so close to just not playing but i want too so badly! Can we get a fix so I can actually participate in this season?
It still doesnt work for me when i reload. Even tried changing characters and nada.
