Invalid license after changing Battle.net account linked to Playstation account

Continuing the discussion from Invalid License Issues on PlayStation Consoles:

Has there been any developments on Blizzard fixing this? It is now well past 18 hours into an early access I paid for and have not been able to participate.

This has happened to me also.

Might be worth just refunding the preorder, I have low confidence in a timely response or transparency

I have 2 current tickets one 10 hours ago and the other 16 hours ago. If they aren’t addressed in 24 hours I’m gonna have to try to refund. The only problem is, I already tried, and couldn’t even contact playstation support to get a refund, their bot doesn’t work.

Luckily I am able to do the couch play workaround to be playing in the meantime, but right now I don’t have any of my Ultimate Edition purchases, and probably won’t until my ticket is addressed.

Same for me. Unlinked battle.net account and connected correct account: no valid license. Really bad. Made two tickets. No response whatsoever.

Same. Been over 24 hours for me, ticket still unresolved.

This also happened to me.

Same issue here. Open Beta was connected to a new Battle Net account to just test it out. When I installed the ultimate version, it automatically opened using the wrong account with no option to log off wrong account and log in with correct account. I had to unlink it on the website and link with correct Battle Net account. I think it is unacceptable Blizzard does not inform customers to relog with correct Battle Net account when installing the full version. What happens if someone else was using my PS5 for Beta when I intend to use my own actual account for the release? I thought Blizzard had smart people working for the company but didn’t consider this scenario? Now it just gives me the invalid license error when I correctly linked my correct Battle Net account to my PSN ID. I will try to get a refund from Sony but this is really unacceptable.

I got a response for my ticket that said they need more information. So i described everything we’ve been through from this thread. Will see how it goes.

Good luck. I hope they can standardize a fix to get through them faster. Still waiting to hear from my tickets

I think this is the cause of my issue as well. I’ve played on PS5 for 2 days. My friends were adding me and I noticed a really weird random BattleTag. So I realized my account wasn’t link. I linked my PSN and Battle.net account, while in the middle of playing. I logged out to grab a bite to eat and haven’t been able to get back in since.

i’ve downloaded 6 free games, bought something from the store, refreshed my licenses.

Has anyone tried unlinking the accounts to see if that works?

I haven’t tried unlinking, but be careful of the 365 day cooldown on linking again

I have had the same problem, link the battlenet account and error. I have tried to unlink, and nothing works. Then it lets you rebind with no problem. The question is, this is a scam, nothing works, does anyone know if in the case of xbox you have to request a refund from Microsoft or from blizzard?

This is blizzards fault. I was told by blizzard to contact playstation. I talked to playstation today and they said they got a report that blizzard hasn’t opened up all their servers yet. Said it should be fixed when the standard game releases. Ridiculous.

So they are scamming us, we have paid for early access, if I will be able to play on the day of departure they will pay me the difference. It’s embarrassing, I haven’t seen a similar scam since Cyberpunk, that at least they had the decency to return the money

This also happened to me. I’m on day 3.
My PSN is rperez62288
And my Bnet is baka#12120

So did unlinking the account let anyone back on with the random battle tag it generated for us for no reason? Why would they not ask you to link your account first…

Unlinking didn’t work for me.

Response from Sony:

"Thank you for confirming that to us, we’re sorry for the back and forth, it’s incorrect they referred you to us, it’s an error not registered on PSN, you can confirm this error code is only been presented for this game, they need to check and provide you a solution on this case.

You’re not the only player that were having some inconvenience with this game since it released, we’re aware the game publisher even posted that on their social medias, you can check their twitter and confirm what we’re saying, please contact them back so they can investigate and provide you more details how to fix the error (Code 315306) for this game on their servers.

While I understand your request and where you’re coming from, I’ve checked all the options available to provide a positive outcome, however due the restrictions from our policies, we won’t be able to complete your refund request at this time.

If you already reported the issue with the game publisher, the best option is to wait for the issue to be fix."

Both sides just putting the blame on the other.

Same thing happened to me. Purchased ultimate pack, downloaded, was playing fine for first day (except for first two hours post launch, where you had to purchase some microtransaction to get out of the error code 315306), not realizing game started with wrong bnet account. Then linked my bnet account to my psn, and haven’t been able to log in ever since, with the same error code 315306 showing up (license issue).

I have tried everything - unlinking bnet to psn, re-installing, purchasing micro transactions, nothing works.

Worst is, I can’t even find the wrong bnet account anymore after I linked my bnet to psn, because both bnet and psn uses same e-mail address in my case. Once it was linked, I had no access to the wrong bnet account, which Diablo4 started with, which I assume the purchased license is tied to.

and to get in touch with them for support is also a challenge in itself…
