I'm sure I'll get the hate

For you…for me Lilith and Inarius war seems interesting…the wolf is interesting. You had the first act story, and you’re gonna complain about it?

Hating to be cool, are we?

The moment you used ‘entitled’ you lost all credibility.

Its like listening to a early 2k hipster: Amusing, but without substance.

Welp, the full game is out now, and the hate is even more severe.

There’s a reason they only gave us 20 levels, they clearly didn’t want us to see the nonexistent end game.

How do you feel about this game now?

Ah yes, the 5 month old necro,

Game still good!

We all saw that train coming and didn’t care to get off the tracks.

The story is completely awful and seems to show nothing but contempt for the source material. They kill Rathma literally a mission after he is introduced. They kill a character from D2 a mission after he is introduced. They kill Inarius is the most insanely disappointing, limp, pathetic way they can imagine. Donan, one of the best parts about the story, dies via being punched by a haunted wall. It feels like the story was written by people who hate Diablo. It most certainly isn’t wonderful. It’s horrible, just well animated.

This game did irreparable damage to the lore of this franchise. I would have hoped they would have seen how angry people were when Cain died and avoided all this nonsense.

No hate, if you enjoy the game that’s awesome for you! Personally I enjoy the game in a general sense but hate playing the one character that I want to and have always played throughout d2 and d3 (the barb). All it would take is smoothing out the leveling experience (they are working on that, slowly but I admit they are) and bringing damage numbers up to be in line with necro/druid/rogue (they are doing nothing on this front).

Thanks, at my age I’ve given up stroking the egos of ‘gamers’

Game sucks, and so do their white knights. 2 months after release and the reviews after all the ‘fixes’ are even more dismal.

At least Caine’s death had meaning. This is writing thats on par with Ubisoft Montreal’s famous “We don’t care if this is not what you want. This is OUR vision!” Which produced the EA Andromeda levels of ire.

Why dont these game company just buy some fangirl’s fanfic? At least the writer will care about the lore and the characters.

Would you like to revisit this statement now that we are into prod release and everything still runs terrible and the majority feedback is still being ignored?

The problem is you have many different types of people claiming Diablo as their own. They are all wrong, we will get back to this.
There are the D3 fans, there are “hardcore I know everything about ARPG and what every arpg should be” fans, there are casual fans, and there are D2 Fans.

Many D2 fans walked away from D3 because it was not good on launch. And something filled that void in their place that enjoyed that game.

Of course there will be people with differing opinions on what this “should be”.

But few of them realize that IP is Blizzard’s and not theirs and they can make it whatever they want. And they did have a vision for it. I think a lot went into this game, and the people that made it, wanted to be more like D2 than D3 but it’s own thing, in the current time. If you look at it as just a title, and detach all that unhealthy emotional attachment you think you have, it is a decent game. Yes there are some major issues still with class balance and loot pacing…but overall this is a very decent game.

The problem is the quality of the content… The game has a nice graphical engine. The combat must stay like this, where you actually play the game and not just run like a mad cow just picking stuff from the floor. D3 is in general a bad game and should not be taken as a reference in any case. The thing with this game is the design, activities are meaningless theres nothing to do that feels different, i mean you can go and do nmd, but it feels the same as doing a helltide, or cellars or doing the whispers quest; everything feels rather the same chore, due to the lack of creativity of this inclusive game meta, target unexistent farming kills it.

It kinda sad that people was fooled with a game in the beta that get more lackluster the more you push to level 100 but its amazing now that more opinions changed with the full release and we see why the open beta stopped at level 25.

Wait…guys, are we rioting in here? Just want to make sure, because now isn’t a great time for me. I’m busy and can’t riot until around 4

Why is it these kinds of posts always come from people whos entire post history is the one thread where they love the game to death?
