I don't understand the purpse of AoZ

The only reward from AoZ is a glyph…that I only need in AoZ.

Why not have some decent loot there too when this is the hardest content in the game?

I just dont understand the theory behind this. Why make this content and then be super stingy with the loot?? Let the final bosses explode in loot with higher tiers giving iLevel 925 and a (low) chance at uber uniques. Then people might want to actually do it.

By the time people have gotten to AoZ, they have already geared their characters to max and gotten most of their uber uniques, so what is the purpose of AoZ at all?

I don’t even want any loots from AoZ. Waste of time for me to run to vendor.

If you still looking for loots, go do something else.

AoZ is a bone being thrown to the “D4 is too easy” crowd. There is no other purpose.

I think it’s so Blizz can collect data for future content

I don’t understand the purpse of AoZ

People were complaining that the game was too easy, so they started venting for more difficult content.
Now that they have something that they cannot one-shot they are complaining about it. Welcome to the D4 forum.

This. :point_up_2:

That’s because they mistake vainglorious and narcissistic attention seeking for serious constructive criticism.

It’s really interesting to see. While people complained about farming for loot being useless at lvl 100 we now have people thinking that content where said loot would have a use… suddenly isn’t good because there isn’t even more loot to chase?

Absolutely mindboggling.

the loot you receive is item lvl 900+ which is pretty good.

free testing for bliz. nothing else.

It serves 2 purposes;

  • beta testing future endgame systems

  • giving people running the most broken builds something to struggle against

Personally IDGAF anymore and am just waiting for S3 at this point.

I am using the time to level some other glyphs and making friends on the server by running dungeons with randoms. People on the servers are a lot nicer than the forums make the player base seem.

i am only doing aoz for the feats of strength and title. everything else is pointless

That assumption is incorrect. I’m in AoZ. I have no uber uniques and my gear is good but could be better. I have cleared up to Tier 5 (pre hotfix) and would love to see some actual loot at the end of these.

What if I want a challenging experience AND good loots? Is that an unreasonable request? Isn’t that usually how games work?

Now that AoZ is out, why does my choice have to be between brain dead whack-a-mole mat and boss farming for a chance at good loot or a challenging experience for poor loot.

In what world is that typical or desired game design? Its baffling.

I could swear, when it was introduced the first time, they were speaking about a leaderboard for it.

It is for people who like to pat themselves on the back for being a meta slave.

Let’s introduce something super grindy toward the end of a Season also that is going to go away in the next Season and not carry over into Eternal Realm.

Great plan.

It’s to make sure everyone plays the OP build next season.

If you don’t understand the point, then its not content for you.

That might be true. A smarter person would have explained who the content IS for. Because to me, it seems like the content is for people who enjoy getting randomly one-shotted to very very very slightly increase the power of a glyph that’s only purpose is to allow them to get randomly one-shotted in a higher tier.

Perhaps you have a better explanation of this new “content”?
