I’m impressed and I don’t say that often!
The fact it’s Sorc in S6, and it’s Fireball, and no help from Spiritborn alting, these makes things even more impressive.
Edit: It’s good you made a video and showed the glyph. That really tells me no help from Spiritborn glpyh leveling with Quill Volley or Infinite Evade

Spiritborns are hitting 2.4 trillion now, about 1,200% more than my 2 billion lightning spears.

My Spiritborn averages 5 billion. But I’ve seen it do 40 billion. It’s like the equivalent of Incinerate / Firewall in the Sorc world if we are comparing damages lol
Playing LS. Lvl 60 (223) Torment IV.
I was in Torment III for a long time lvling my character and was able to kill every Boss and Lilith.
It is a slog fest for sure looking to improve gear.
For my Spiritborn I wasted 10 gear with 12/12 to get to a state where I am comfortable in T4. I can obviously salvage and use those mats later on
got to para 215, threw in the towel, and re-rolled SB.
sorc just sucks now.
well unless you are fine with being stuck in t2-t3.

Para 215 is still an impressive feat for a Sorc. I get the feeling back in S5 where I did everything with Firewall Sorc but just can’t beat Infernal T7 even with the best gear possible.
Sorc plays well, but if you want the performance of a spiritborn, it’s not going to happen this season.
Fireball is surprisingly strong and get me to T3 quick with pretty crap gear. Just need the two uniques. Boss damage is surprisingly strong. However it was too squishy for my taste so rapidly changed to LS which is much sturdier. Fireball positioning requirements also are frustrating when you hit dungeons with tons of small rooms and narrow corridors.
I have been using my old gear from previous season using the LB build, the only thing i have changed so far is my Staff, ain’t had any upgrades so far for anything else.
I’m am doing Infernal 7 with ease, and Pit 65 with ease…so far
What is infernal 7? (Twenty characters)
Leveled up a CL and once geared switched to LS/FO. Very strong no mythics. Still need 3 pieces of gear at 800 but overall pretty good. SB is OP yes.
For a backround, i cleared pit 167 in season 4. In comparison I have fully master worked gear right now, at least 1 GA on the appropriate affix on all my gear right now, Im paragon 231 (which is enough to get all the damage dealing clusters). Running lightening spear with ball lightening. Pit 89 i had about 2m30s left on the timer. I took about 6 minutes to kill last boss. Its VERY unlikely I’ll even be able to level my glyphs up to 100 because we cant get to a high enough pit level to do it, which is very tragic. SO, to answer your question sorc is currently and absolute turd. Maybe mekuna or Arcuied will once again come up with some really cool, outside of the box ideas that allows us to do better. But everyone is playing spiritborn since its OP, so nobody is pushing the sorc meta.

The sorc is cool if you love it.
My lvl 60 sorc with Paragon 180 and 750-800 Equiq can do a lvl 35 Pit without a big Problem. It´s skilled chain lightning and has no masterworking, but some tempering.
My lvl 60 Spiritborn, Paragon 180, Item lvl 400-600 ca do a lvl 35 Pit 4 minutes Faster than the sorc. Its skilled for the Evade build and has no masterworking, and only 1-2 Items tempered if im Right.
And this is not high end, its only the beginning, Later in the game the gap between both classes gets higher and higher.
But: I do not like spiritborn. I now try an incinerate sorc (second sorc leveld). I know, incinerate is DoT, and dot is bad. But lets see. I Love the healing from “warmth” and the aspect will be reworked with the patch 2.0.3.
We have a sorc, paragon lvl 265 in the clan with lightning spear who can do a lvl 90 Pit without a Problem. 100 is nearly impossible if you have no perfect tempering, masterworking and some GA that you need on your items.
A spiritborn with nearly the same paragon lvl (little lower) runs 100+ alone, or carrying 2 low lvl chars through lvl 90 pit.
Thats the difference. And yes, sorc is the second best char after SB I think. Perhaps Necro is also good. but the rest… uhhh our Druid (only plays druid) changed to Spiritborn because you have so many advantage with sb. Higher and Faster pits = more xp (and you will need it above lvl 250 paragon). Duriel etc. is down in 10 secs or faster, even with 4 Players in the group. You cant really level your Paragon after level 250 if you are to slow in killing.

This is still good considering LS got nerfed. I think this is about right. It’s turd compare to S5 but remember LS was broken back then so it makes sense.
My SB Touch of Death can do Pit 91 comfortably but stuck at Pit 97. Not using the meta.
What build is that? Hopefully not Lightning Spear. I refuse to play a worse feeling and weaker version of a build from last season.
Last Season infernal horde keys ranged from 1 to 8.
I played SB and now leveling up Sorc again. Actually it doesn’t matter much if I play in T2, T3 or T4. Could just play Kurast Undercity all day long. I want to try some stuff with Sorc. And now they even buff the Aspect Overheating I’m very curious how strong it turns out. Depending on the scaling Flamescar could be BIS, cause it gives up to 16 Ranks to Incinerate.
But a lot of Sorc aspects are just outright bad. F.e. all the Meteorites aspects, cool but they are not buffed buy Meteor because they are different. And why they added a Meteorites rune and not a Meteor rune. One would scale the other doesn’t.
I have not tried it yet, but the TON rune does not benefit from any Meteorites aspects, right?
I have seen Sorc do fine in the Pit 90s. They are good but not OP like S5. Technically only LS was OP in S5. The rest are fine and average.

I dont want to create a new topic, but have question. Is there any good reason to have Wand as Frozen Orb Sorc or any one-hand do the same job? Thank you.
I would say no strong reason. Just do it for fun and try to push as much as possible whatever build this is.
If all you care is maxing damage, roll an SB with the rainbow bulds.
