How's Sorc in S6?

How’s Sorc in S6 right now? Are you guys having fun stomping content with the latest meta build?

I’m chillin with my Centipede build. Nope. I’m not gonna go with Godtier Quill Volley and billions of damage Infinite Evade (if I was, I will just stick with my Sorc) lol

Rolling meta builds is the opposite of having fun. It shows you have no individuality and no actual skill.

Well, maybe for you. But I know folks who are enjoying the game because they are copying and rolling with meta builds.

Not my cup of tea but they are having fun. They are okay with no individuality and actual skill. Again not my cup of tea.

Too early for me to tell; still getting acclimated and what testing ive done keeps telling me that untill my glyphs are lvled to the additional passive, i probably dont have a good perspective.

Damage sucks tbh tho

About 10x weaker than spiritborn.

That’s what I expect lol. But is Sorc weaker than S5 (let’s ignore LS because that’s broken)

I would say yes especially when leveling. My sorceress may be more survivable than last season but she does quite a bit less damage.

Okay chain lightning. Having fun.

I didnt play ls last patch, and i still think damage is pretty low, for what thats worth. If i was coming off ls, i probably would have just put the game up for a couple patches. Kinda almost there already; prospect of regrinding everything only to find blatant bugs, hours farming for upgrade materials that are nearing non existant only to tank them bricking whatever 1ga’s i have, ect. Idk. Game sucks atm, especially if you’re trying to test things without a discord server of sycophants. Devs really need to try logging every patch, lol

stuck in t2 using mekuna’s ls starter build: i can clear some t3, but it takes 8+ minutes to kill bosses. i want to use the meta build but i will never find the 3 mythics you need to make it work. might reroll SB since they don’t need mythics and they can clear what i am doing in trash gear 10x easier. :frowning:

Avoid sorc play spiritborn

So far, sorc is pretty underwhelming in S6.

I would go further then that. Short of having full mythic uniques and ONE specific build, the class is basically DOA.

Most builds will not get past torment 2. Some will be stuck in torment 1

Torment 3 is likely for 2 builds, torment 4 pretty much for 1 and its going to be a slogfest die constantly.

Sorc, druid, barb are pretty much on life support. Our single target spells hit for nothing, our aoe spells are generally tiny and hit for only slightly more. Our summons are mostly for CC, damage is negligable. We have caps on things that do 1% of a spiritborns damage ( and is uncapped ) basically the class has no identity and has no reason to exist.

Have been playing with incinerate and it seems OK so far.
Only up to torment 2 and pit 45 so far but it handles those with ease.
My only problem is lack of materials to temper, imprint aspects and masterwork.

Pretty sure it can handle T3 once I get the gear but will have to wait and see.

I’m not even close to end game, and I’m replaying the base campaign, but honestly it feels like S0.

Nothing drops (I’m level 35 and have seen about five legendaries ever) and damage is quite low (playing Ice Shards for the time being). I don’t think my experience can be generalized as I just don’t have much of what would actually scale the build up (like uniques and legendaries), but it’s not much fun so far. I’m ok with the grind at the moment mostly because the campaign gives me lots to do and I don’t want to level too fast before I finish the story, but if this is what skipping the campaign is going to be like too, ugh.

I’ve played several builds now, and I’m still on the fence with this season.

I started off with an Incinerate/Hydra build, cruised through the campaign on normal difficulty up to level 50 (so I can get started faster on midgame farming). I switched to RageGamingVideos’ Fireball build at level 60 which took me from Penitent into T3 (minor masterworking on staff, gear, and boots). I tried both CL and Forb/LS after farming all of that gear - it just didn’t feel the same. I switched back to FB and I’m currently Paragon 150’ish comfortably playing T2 with ease. T3 is doable, but I am a bit squishy even with full res/armor (on the corpse explosions etc). I doubt if this FB build will push T4 content well, but I am going to try (util I find another Sorc meta).

In addition to the above, I believe a lot of why I am slowly losing interest with S6 is largely due to the fact that everything is different: Pits, Infernal Hordes, Helltides etc. I really enjoyed those areas in previous seasons and could play those for hours on end (I still hate NMD’s lol). I feel like I am being force-fed Nahantu/Under City content that I’m not interested in. I’ll try the Spiritborn class soon, and I am really curious as to how the Poison Pestilent Swarm Hammerdin plays… (wish it were a Pally). But, I really miss playing the Hordes/Pits of old (Helltides are still engaging). Have fun, and good luck.

Currently on t3 clearing pits 55. Damage feels nerfed, but character is not complete yet so too early to tell.

Blizzard spec, no LS.

My best was Pit 87 with bouncy fireball. Currently working on Pit 90.

This is S6 Fireball? No help with Spiritborn on leveling your glyph or getting gear? It’s not an alt, right?

I did everything myself. Para 247, Glyphs are around 80.
