How long until Paladin?

How long until we get our holy knight fantasy back in the game?

Paladin, Templar, Crusader….whatever, I have that Ret Paladin (insert any type of holy knight) urge and nothing in the game comes close to it right now.

Just wait until the expansion version and you will have what you want…

Expansion 2. Late 2025/early 2026. At the earliest.

hopefully it never comes

What’s an expansion version?

Second expansion seems logical at this point.

Don’t like holy classes then I guess.

There’s an anti-religious disdain throughtout the game. You already have paladins, just as enemies.

They said the next class would be nothing seen before in any Diablo game so palidin and crusader are hard no for next class mate.
Sorry

Yes, Heavens and Angels in Diablo are not the good guys, we are the good guys (the series is about humanity’s struggle in face of the Eternal Conflict, which is ironic) . There’s also a religion founded by the Prime Evils while disguised as wise men in the past, which is unquestionably a trap.

But the there is more, the Light is real. It’s as a concept is not the same as Heavens and Angels. Angels themselves are servants of Light as Demons are servants of Darkness. As we may have already known, there’s a side quest in D4 (Kyovashad) where a Sister of the Cathedral of Light can continue to perform miracle even after Inarius is killed/banished by Lilith in the storyline.

They said that the next class after spirit born will be a holy class, like paladin

Well it realy depends when you do that side quest. Imo it doesn’t make any sense if you do it after you finished the story.

They are not paladins. They religious fanatic soldiers serving the Cathedral of Light. They have nothing to do with the Zakarum faith.

She has two different lines, before and after Inarius is “killed”.

I can get you a Paladin… but it’ll cost you about tree fiddy. :sauropod:

I would love to play a thorns crusader in D4 but if it ever happens, it will be far down the road.

i fully expect a holy class somewhere in the future, probably expansion 2
(next class according to leaks will be spiritborn, whatever that is)

but holy does not mean paladin.
d3s monk and crusader were holy aswell,
or even just a priest class, or a saintess, an exorcist, an inquisitor…

there is a lot you could do for a holy class.
so: holy yes, paladin maybe/no

I want a hell hound class, Or a Demon controlling Warlock. Paladins remind me of the times of the crusades, These so called men of the holy church were anything but holy. History is enlighting.

The best you can do is start a Barbarian and put on some Tyrael’s Might armor and now you can call yourself a Paladin. You won’t have any hammers flying around but you can use Maelstrom as a substitute, and you get all your weapons flying around you.

With a bit of Roleplay you can do your own Paladin

I wonder why they decided to make spirit born not holy-themed. It could have easily been an Angelic justiciar theme. We don’t know yet, but a quick bing search says nature themed sadly…

Nobody wants a paladin. They are the most hated class from D2 and generally all rpgs.

You are wrong. Maybe YOU don’t want one. I know I do, and not a D3 version either.
