I have never understood why they don’t trickle seasonal content into Eternal.
Are they afraid of power creep? Just extend Nightmare Dungeon cap to 200. It’s fine. Diablo 3 started off with damage in the thousands and by the end of 29 seasons it was in the trillions. Power creep is fun.
Necros need a lot of work. I want to make one powerful golem and get rid of the skeletons but it makes no sense, it’s weak as heck. AI is still terrible, a “pet attack” button like in Grim Dawn would work wonders.
They still need to expand skills and legendaries/sets. The game is still so limited. One legendary unique per item is a bad idea. There should be more effects to expand your very limited set of skills so that there can be more variety. I don’t know why they removed the Rune system in Diablo 3, that made the game so much better and made varied builds more possible. Diablo 3 was hamstrung in build diversity by set items by virtue of set items being way too powerful but the Rune system was a good idea.
Just stopping by to complain about living steel in helltides. Stop the summoning requirements after level 100 and let people target farm like was promised. I refuse to believe game testers played through helltides for hours and said “Yep, this is fun, ship it”. I don’t really have other complaints than that.
By your logic with sale numbers, D4 is even more successful, selling over 9 million copies making over 500 million and it hasn’t even been six months. Ok cool so D4 good, thanks for proving my point D4 is a hell of a lot better than D3.
Because the content is still boring. And if you even get close to having any fun you get bored sitting at the vendor/blacksmith.
Only way I lasted long as I did I quit looking at items just left them on the ground.
I kind of feel this way with item level power.
I wish there was just 1 version of each item (uniques at least) with 1 set range of values it can roll and a min lvl to equip.
Got some endgame boss mats now I can try on an alt that’s only low 70’s but I feel like if I get the item(s) I want now, they will be useless in a few lvl because I’ll need a weapon with a better breakpoint in ilvl.
So why waste the mats now? But then what am I going to do if I want until close to end of 100.
I despise zone and/or item scaling so much in any ARPG but Blizz loves scaling so much.
They sent me a survey about a month or two ago and asked me a million questions. I told them many of the things you listed here. Specifically itemization being absolutely boring and terrible. I mentioned lack of loot filters and an auction house or open trade site like in poe. Economy equals playtime. I haven’t played the game since launch, and I won’t be back til they at least add those few things.
This is a great point. I forgot to mention this. Why on earth they decided to go to level 100 with this game is beyond me. They should have left xp level WAY lower. Like mayb 50, but no more than 70. They somehow tried to bake leveling into endgame like in poe, but it just doesn’t work in this game.
A million times this. That’s the biggest issue with leveling too fast, finding upgrades. Also, the leveling post 70 is still long and boring. The worst being the last 5 levels. UGGGH!
D3 did this best. You fight till the bar fills up and then a boss spawns. They keep trying to fix the activities in the dungeon. They need to 86 the activities in the dungeon. We do enough of that in every other aspect of the game. Dungeons should just be progressive killfests. So much more fun that way.

me and the people i played witht this season had a lot of fun
specilly cause i choose a good build and was able to do nmd which where 10-30 lvl above me while i didnt even hit max lvl yet
i got pretty exited when i got some good loot
and spending 30sec every 20min to look at loot is acceptable

i noticed it everytime when an enemie was acutally vulernerable as sorc
or my main atack being like 3x faster than normal
than dont do it ? you dont need elixiers ever
i did all content in this season and never even botherd to use an elixer (expect random ones for 5% xp while lvling)
well helltide has like 1h cooldown
if u only farm helltide to do duriel u can do varshan in the time inbetween
actually worked out pretty good when there was a helltide i did it
and if not i did everything else like farm varshan afk or kill bosses
well i got bored of helltide at some point and just started to sell some stuff and services like t100 nmd
i still got uber duriel kills propably even faster than doing helltide and i didnt even do helltide
didnt play d3 but 1 simple point would be graphics they are gorgous in d4
those are rly unimportant
mainly u can choose if u want to play with a offhand or a 2h weap
the 10% lucky hit or 80% crit are useless
even pre s1 when crit still was op i played a bone spear necro and used a sycthe cause i think that looks better and i still was able to kill uber lilith
