No, it’s irrelevant in the same way standard is irrelevant in PoE. People will always play there, but that’s not the focus of the game. Hence why almost all the new content is seasonal-exclusive, seasonal content is the focus of the game.

In D3, I played both season and non-seasons. In fact, I liked the gap between seasons when seasons did not exist temporarily.
I think this comment proves that seasons needs enticement because of its limitations.
If seasons were the “best”, no incentives would be needed.

It’s possible they can’t track every item drop back to it’s original source and time. Target deleting the “exploit” Shako’s may have never been a practical option.
I’m not mad that I didn’t get a unique for a bugged event. I’m mad that Blizzard allowed these items to stay which compromises the integrity of the game.

Getting your knickers in a twist about who, or who didn’t, get a chance to ‘exploit’ a mistake on Blizz’s part isn’t going to do your blood pressure any good.

There is a pretty well observable constant here too.
Usually people who claim to be the smartest are usually the ones who are the least intelligent.
