As much as id like for it to drop earlier, not a single build NEEDS this helm.
In all honesty it really just is fluff. Its an extra thing that while nice is not mandatory for a single build.

i played 10k hours of D2 and D2R combined and never got a Tyraels Might or Zod Rune… big whoop. Stop chasing the best of the best in terms of items… you get or you dont. Planning around getting a Harlequin or Grandfather is just stupidity

Difference is you could trade for those, so thats a really bad comparison.
Also in D2 literally 99% of items were duped. Did you ever trade or enter a free drop room? You used a duped item.

Whats the point of playing a game when i can just get everything with no effort? O.o
You’re being disingenuous. Theres a difference between free item and farming an item only to either never see it or only see it when your basically done with the game on that toon.
Now you could give it to an alt, but seeing as theres a lvl on the item itself that doesn’t work.

No effort? D4 is challenging, however some mobs don’t reward you for effort. I chased a gobo for 5 mins to get a white item and nothing since. I die to butcher doing 0.2% dmg to him n i get a lego off a elite after… get lost.
A majority of ARPG players do not use discord. Your ad hominem not withstanding, a chase item is still a chase item. The fact that you can work up the currency in other games does not change that fact. You change the drop rate or put in some other mechanism to acquire it in D4 and that means it is no longer a chase item.
The first question you need to make is: Do I need the Shako?
Or do you want it just because?
Mirror in PoE is the same thing.
If you need a mirror to play, something is wrong.
Its there as a bonus, something to chase, maybe even to dream about, isn’t something required to make anything work.
All this to say: relax. If you got it, you got it.

random drop is not really “effort;” it’s random by definition.
Effort would be if it dropped from uber lilith.

One thing i’m super happy Blizz didn’t bring back and don’t miss at all is the trading from D2.
Sure it is fun sitting in empty game rooms waiting for someone to drop by and offer me items i don’t need or just wants to scam me.

Yea. I just honestly see it as a complete waste. The point of a chase item is its supposed to mean something when/if you get it.
As is currently tbh by the time you get it, if you do, you’ve already beaten everything D4 has to offer that you would need it for.
Its why i dont really care about it.
At the current droprate you can play for 20 years and will most likely never find one.

At least you could target farm runes in D2. They should bring that back and have uber Lilith have a higher chance of dropping these uniques or something.

This surely is far more rare than Mirror of Kalandra in PoE and by huge margin. D4 had about 10x concurrent player count peak as PoE league start peaks, but you see couple mirrors in first 2 weeks, but you have like 1 confirmed Harlequin Crest?
So easy to see how absurdly more rare it is than even rarest PoE drop.
Mirror of Kalandra drop rate is about 0.0001%, so Harlequin Crest’s drop rate must be no more than 0.00001%, or maybe it’s just Uber Lilith exclusive drop still at low drop rate of maybe 0.001% - and considering not many people are killing here all the often - there’s almost none found.

Welcome to diablo. Endgame gears is a goal. Maybe u find it maybe u dont. Everything doesnt need to be ez and done within the first few days.
The more time u spend farming and the more efficient u being the higher chance there be for u to find one.

I also dont want every item to be ez to obtain as the season will last for several months. There are plenty of ppl who dont want trading. Blizzard decided to limit trading after they asked the community and collected data.
There are other ways for them to make shako more accessible if they wanted to. For example they could make it craftable.
Doesnt mean none have dropped. Also the avrg player aint lvl 100 yet so they cant even find it.
As if u got any idea about the droprate. Blizzard knows the droprate and where it drops. Maybe u need to actually beat lilith for it to have a chance to drop. Simular to how primals in d3 work.
