Game is too dark

The game is too dark it makes me sleepy. I am forced to play with all lights around me turned off and it makes me sleepy even at 1 pm in the afternoon. I know a bunch of edgelords complained that D3 wasnt dark enough but I can’t believe you guys fell for that crap.

No the brightness doesn’t help at all. It just makes everything gray instead of black but I still cant see anything

i read somewhere in the forums that the HDR calibration was wonky making everything look greyer and darker than it should be. This is something i noticed right away but im too lazy to try and do anything about it

The stool in Menestad next to the campfire is slightly wonky can someone fix this or I am going to refund the game right now.

the gamma? you mean the brightness??? all it does is turn everything gray but still cant see anything.

Sounds like gamma settings issue.

Brightness is linear, gamma is not, if you poorly set your gamma (game asked you to do it on first launch, but you can change it) then value curve might heavily lean into dark tones. Anyway, user error, but fully fixable.

It’s absolutely fine and looks incredible. A slight grey hue, perhaps, but certainly not too dark.

the game asked me to set my brightness not gamma. gamma doesnt exist in d4

The game has beautiful contrast and colors pop on an OLED in HDR. It sounds like your display has low contrast ratio.
