-launch game
-can watch it load see if it keeps hang at a specific point

or read log manually

Same here, keeps doing it and had my first hard lock up on my PC in years while playing to boot. Devs hit another home run…

Pretty disappointing the state that these patches and seasons launch in. Please give in and allow a PTR of some sort so somebody can test and improve your game for you.

Seriously disappointed at this point in the lack of competency. It was reported 7 hours ago and still no fix?

I can’t understand how Blizzard releases a patch so poorly done that many, many players on PC can’t even enter the game, everything freezes, either at the Startup screen or at Queuq’s message to enter the character screen, or load us into the game. We bought the game to play, it is unacceptable not to test it on their computers. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, FIX THIS, or cancel the patch so that those who play on PC can at least get into THE GAME. ABSURD.

My issue began before today’s patch. Same symptoms most people stated. However it only happens on loading/transition screens

I seem to have solved this problem by rolling back my Nvidia driver from 551.23 back to 546.65. I hope this helps some of you.

I managed to log in a Season 2 Chr… logged out, Season 3 Chr loaded without locking up ( 4 Million times opening Task Manager today lol )

This may be the same bug that plagued me and many others at launch, reintroduced. After not being able to get past the Blizzard screen after the patch i copied diablo 4 on to my slow storage drive from a fast nvme. Logged right in first try

Never have I ever had so many issues with a game before. Fear every time there is update and now here we go again, good ol release times.

I haven’t been able to get on since ~8hrs ago, but was able to get in once just a few minutes ago by going into the D4 config file and changing Safemode = 0 to 1. But then I logged off and tried to get back on, but couldn’t get back in again. And tried the Safemode trick again, but it doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Mine crashes at Blizzard screen. I have tried all the tricks and nothing will fix it.

Tried it and still crashes at the logging in screen. Think you just got lucky.

moving game to SSD fixed my issues… Can’t believe this bug came up again!!

After a scan and repair I was able to get in.

same here, freezes most time opening game. also freezes and crashes in game sometimes too which it never did before
