My game has been crashing since launch, at first it was in certain dungeons. Then things were fine once I lowered the FPS and Graphic quality. After 1.0.3 came out the moment I logged in I was kicked while in the open world area. Then every 2 to 10 minutes after every login attempt. Also my VRAM was spiking up and so was the temps in my card no matter the temp or Graphic setting.
After reading some posts regarding their OC on here I decided to go into my BIOS and reset the whole thing and restoring my RAM back to XMP II profile. After that I went to GeForce Experience and optimized the settings (Which are set way higher then I ever had the game when it was crashing).
So far after 3 hours of playing Iāve only experienced one crash and thatās when I set the DLSS to quality. My GeForce settings recommends DLAA so I reverted it back and the game. Only problems are that the card is running 83-85c max, but I guess thatās to be expected running the card to itās limit. But the game is playing with better graphics and iām doing around 110 frames with everything on the high setting.
Sidenote, I didnāt completely turn off my OC. I believe that my motherboard has an AI OC feature so instead of bringing my chip back to itās base 3.8ghz it hovers around 4.7 to 4.9ghz.
This doesnāt help the console users although I think its great that PC players can at least extend playable time by tweeking their settings. The issue still needs to be resolved on their end.
That āfixā isnāt a fix.
As the person above you even mentioned. After doing all the Bios fixing they still crashed after changing a GPU setting. It is most definitely a memory leak issue. It is easily repeatable. And easy to monitor. Some of these people may just have bad or unstable Overclocks to begin with. Especially if they let software/factory do their overclocking for them.
But you are right. the glaring problem is, they have to figure out why it is happening and what they can do to fix it, asap.
If you can change texture settings on console try doing that every 30 minutes or so since you canāt monitor your VRam usage. The more you do the faster it climbs. All you really have to do, if you have the option in settings, is change your texture from whatever it is set at, to a lower setting, save, then change it back to where it was and save again. This resets the VRam usage dropping it back down to where it started itās rise. Since you canāt monitor your usage, I would say do this every 30 minutes just to be safe. See if it helps?
On my system I generally have to reset once an hour. It has eliminated all this crashing that just started occurring. No reason to change any bios settings.
Is everyone mad enough to go hammer them on Twitter and keep hamming them till they fix it? Thereās a small hand full of us. Go to their Twitter page and pound them till they have to fix it.
i did my part on twitter alredy, tag everyone till they fix this
If anything, you should ask for a rollback. The fix will take time, rollback should be instant. And just launch the patch back when its tested.
Yesterday i spend about 10 hours working no stop trying to find a to find a way to stop the game form crashing every 5 mins.
i try literally everything i can find on Here ,reddite YouTube i try out anything i could find.
I went as far as updating the Bios underclock /undervolt my Ram my cpu And gpu .
Lock the game at 30 fps put the settings at the lowest .
game still crash .
iam simply out of options now I can only wait and hope bliz comes out with a corrective.
I finally have a big week end off work but i canāt play the game so frustrating .
Okay, odd, my friend plays on XBOX Series X and they arenāt crashing.
Turned my overclock back on and havenāt crashed since the hotfix. I was genuinely crashing every 5 minutes before that updateā¦
I would like to play, but four crashes in a 2 hour period?
I give up until they fix this.
I crash immediately. I do have not OC on my GPU. Factory setting. So much for OC reset. Why would I need to OC a 4090 in D4???
Iām a RN who came from a trailer home. Youāre just a low thought individual. Perhaps you just described yourself, and of course you do nothing but ad hom and donāt address the issue.
3 days to respond, is this normal time?
Reducing CPU overclock is what fixed it for me. 2 days of >4 hour sessions and crash free. Never had my gpu overclocked nor messed with that
We have a client patch hitting PC this afternoon to help with the crashes players have been experiencing. We will have patch notes update and you will see a client patch this afternoon once this is deployed.
Umm its already 430 Pm here what time are we looking at this patch deployment? Little more info would be helpful them just sit tight
Iām play on and Xbox and crashing every 2 or 3 minutes
What about the console users?
I have both hard crashes > back to desktop and the game freezing (loosing connectivity) client still running but everything else freezes (have logged out of character) and can log back in. Unfortunately, it then loses all progress made to that point.
