After newest patch, now it’s freezing up my gf’s series x.
I guess it is not happening to enough people for blizz to notice or pretend to care.
I’m playing on the Steam Deck as a work around no crashes there.

The same for me, since start it’s on average like 1 BSOD in every 5h of playing. Never ever seen BSOD before on this 2 years old PC with Win11.
not even Chat GPT can solve this one, i did as per instructed and still crashes my game.

Despite having the RTX 3080, which does support DLSS and Reflex, the game disables these due to plugin issues. This may indicate that the plugins are either incorrectly installed or not properly integrated with the game.
2. LocalPrefs.txt Settings: Looking at your configuration in the LocalPrefs.txt file:
- DLSS is enabled (

- If you still encounter crashes, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling your NVIDIA drivers, and make sure to do a clean install (using the “Perform a clean install” checkbox during installation).

As a side note, you can also use DDU to remove the driver completely, but follow the steps on the website to use the tool correctly to do so.
This may also fix the issue. I also recommend going back a few versions on the driver as a precaution. There have been some players having issues with the latest driver as well on some setups.

Same for me. Happens frequently and randomly, but the action that seems to cause it the most is teleporting. I’d say it crashes at least 1 out of 4 times of teleporting.
Everything worked fine until the expansion and related update came out.
It’s extra fun because this is the first time and season that I spent money and am doing the battlepass since the game came out. Money well spent!
Freeze > crash> PC restart
Same issue. Only seems to happen around town.
Temperature normal. Something’s not right witht his version. Hotfix needed ASAP.
i removed latest nvidia drivers 565.90 ( as per instructed with the DDU app )
and installed the 561.09 after 15 min game crash

This was the 3rd instance of these errors like this.
And it appeared to have happened after a teleport, when you visited a blacksmith.
Definitely not a virtual memory issue, you appear to have that set high. What did you set the swap file to? 48GB? Probably overkill, but not the cause.
Couple possibilities:
- Internet connection issue. Something along on the path between your PC and the server causing disruption.
- Actual issue with a game file. Either some corruption to a file within the container files, problem occasionally reading the file due to a drive translation, or even a drive issue.
Have you tried disabling direct storage?
You can add -disableds to the command line arguments under the game settings within the battlenet app for the game. (click the gear cog to get to this)
Also:
- Try setting your FPS cap from 140 down to 100.
- Turn off reflex
See if those two things help. We need to make sure you aren’t causing a high in-game latency response, which can impact the internet connection if its severe enough.

Same here, Game is crashing and freezing. This has happened at least ten times since installing the expansion. Seems to be crashing more often after playing through the Vessel of Hatred campaign.
After doing some quick research, the “Out of memory in particle bottom acceleration structure” appears to be related to 'Ray Traced Particles" so i’m going to disable that and see if this can mitigate the crashes.

Same issue, rebooted multiple times with no error. Not related to virtual memory as its nowhere near full. Have an old nvidia card, GTX 1650 with latest driver which was required after the update. Seems like an NVidia driver issue. Win 10 Xeon E5 1620 @ 3.7 GHz, 80GB RAM.

I played the first few days or VoH without a single crash or any other issues, but after the update my pc crashes, reboots og BSOD.
