Can confirm bugged on T4. Not working after like 20 tries and doing the event outside multiple times.

I tried everything else people put in, and nothing seemed to work. Did about 2 hours of entering/leaving looking for the unattackable barricade, and never got it.
I tested one other thing, which worked the very first try, but it could be total coincidence, so if someone else who’s still bugged could test this out, it would be appreciated.
Steps:
- You need to run a group.
- Make sure there is no event. If there is, clear it first.
- One person enters the cave, while the other person stays outside.
- Just talk to her and wait.
Like I said, I’ve only done the above once, but it worked the very first time, so not sure if I just finally got lucky, or if this is repeatable.
Yes, in a group it finally worked!
I was able to complete the quest with it today.

Still the same for me as well, on World Tier 4.
ya i tried the 4 different options given online but no joy kind of annoying but it is what it is i guess please fix soon blizz
as stated in another thread about this (there are only like 100+…)
a current workaround that works just fine is doing the quest with a friend / in a group.
im trying to 100% all the zones and this bug happened to me as well.
i (necro) could not do it, so i invited my wife (barb) and asked her to get the quest.
she did the talking with those npc’s and the quest could be finished.
ofc this is only a workaround… pls fix this.

Just went to make again this side quest with my alt character few minutes ago. It’s bugged SINCE beta, and STILL not fixed? Tried all possible solutions mentioned here, and around web, nothing works. Posts here, twitter diablo,etc, yet Blizzard, a multi billion company, unable to provide a hotfix for such simple things? Why? Did D:IV dev team even or an official member, checking it’s own official forums/twitter at all?
I cleared the event, logged out/in, changed tiers numerous times and did not get it to work. I finally tried clearing the bloodsoaked crag dungeon that is immediately to the west as well just for the hell of it. After completing that dungeon (first time completing it) and completing the event, before entering the cave it finally triggered.
Clearing the event in the village fixed this for me. I had already cleared the nearby dungeon, so not sure if that plays a part or not. After clearing the event and going back into the cave, the NPC’s ran down the hill and I was able to complete the quest.
Confirmed still bugged. None of the work arounds suggested above worked for me.

I also have this issue.
T4 and got allready all reputation rewards in the dry veld. (play in german, so don’t know the english name).
I been doing every workarounds out here,
what i mainly was doing is abandoning the quest then leaving game, changing tiers, reloging in and nothing would work and then i started playing with the fps and i tured on V-Sync thinking about fps glitches in all the other games and it worked 1st try iunno if this could help
I’ve had this bug too. Had to logout and back in several times to get the NPCs to finally fight with me to complete it. What a pain!

Nope, tried it in a party last night, after trying all workarounds mentioned here.
No furthr progress, NPC are staying like statues.
They react to attackers if you pull these to them, but after the fight, nothing happens.
Yep, that side chain quest is definitely broken for me as well. I can not progress further in the Fury Against Fate quest line. Changing World tiers, or other troubleshooting methods has no effect on the quest getting it to work correctly.
Yeps none of these “fixes” works, they are most likely just random, and people tried different things and it worked randomly, not because of what they did but just because they got lucky.
