Network delay (e.g. with Clumsy) is the one solution. Everything else is just luck. I tried everything (event states, restart quest, leave, relog, again and again, …). Nothing worked. But first time I tried with clumsy (400ms delay) it worked.
Some admin should mark this as solution until the bug is fixed and close the thread. It’s frustrating for new people to search for the solution in more than 300 answers.
So nobody should post some lucky-/voodoo-solution again…

Oh and my sympathy goes to the developers. Hope you can fix it soon, but as an developer I know that these flaky synchronizing problems can be the most frustrating ones…
The developers did a great job with Diablo IV, bugs just happen!
