So I still am using a legacy Battle Trance unique and I rolled a +3 to frenzy on an item.
So 15 ranks of Frenzy.
However, Bash seems to be FOTM this Season for Thorns build.
Need opinions on keeping my Frenzy vs changing to Bash. I do have the new Razorplate (maxxed version drop + 4 ranks masterworked so far [32K Thorns]).
Thanks!
Bash only makes sense if you temper it on your weapons. Do you have room for it?
If I changed out my unique amulet for a legendary I’m sure I could move things around.
Just wondering if it is worth it…if Bash is that much better.
Frenzy is used for the 24% damage reduction. It’s 40% for you because of Battle Trance.
You want Earthquake Duration tempers on all your weapons.
Using Bash in a Thorns build is more of a hybrid thing, but is counterintuitive because Bash is best with crit, and you don’t spec for crit in a Thorns build.

Just wanted to reply back to this I went the Bash route and it is unbelievable to difference…which is kind of a shame really.
If you tempered Bash, it’s kind of just using Thorns as a supplement.
Weapons are tempered bash…armor is tempered thorns while fortified.
I do use a 12/12 masterworked Razorplate as well that is maxxed percent chance. Think my thorns is around 80K right now.
Yeah, most of your damage is coming from Bash. Do you have Needleflare on your 2H or Moonrise?
It’s a cool hybrid build, for sure, but you’re essentially gimping both of them in order to use them simultaneously. You can’t max out either one this way. Not to say that you can’t do well with it, you just won’t reach full potential on either.

My two handed mace has the 80% thorns sharing my other two handed sword has the moonrise.
How high have you gone in Pits? All gear 12/12 yet? Any struggles?
I have done up to 100 in the pits. 80s are on speed farm.
Most of the offensive gear is 12/12 with the armor being 8/12 right now.
I still have a legacy unique (Ramans) due to not finding a new one yet with max damage.
You doing a dw max fury?
For reference, I was speed running 101s (prior to today’s patch) in 3-4 mins on a pure Bash 2h build.
Try it out. Then you can swap that dusty Rama for a 925 legendary with another Bash temper.
GG
Not sure what dw max fury means. I do nothing to spend fury as I use the Iron Warrior for those oh crap moments.
Dual wield and stacking max fury to get the most out of Ramaladni’s.
Try a 2H with Heavy Handed and get rid of Rama for another aspect and Bash temper. Should jump you up a bunch of tiers.
Hmmm, I would never have thought that as all the sites say to use Rama.
Ramaladni’s isn’t even the best way to go for DW. You lose an aspect, stats, damage, and a temper. The temper alone is a higher multiplier, and you save all the investment into max fury.
Having 300 max fury nets you a 1.2x multiplier on Ramaladni’s. The Bash temper with 2 crits is more than 50% higher. Plus you can have str, life, crit, and a second temper of close, vuln, or crit. Ontop of that, you save paragon points from not having to invest in max fury and another multiplier from an aspect.
With 2H bludgeon, you get 30x crit damage from Heavy Handed and 2H mace. More if you get + Heavy Handed on your amulet.

Again thanks for the info.
I did change out Rama for a one handed sword and got the tempers I wanted. I tried Heavy Handed with a two handed mace and it is just too slow compared to the two one handed weapons. However it still seems to be doing more damage.

You need Rapid on a 2h and attack speed on gloves and rings. You also need to take the Carnage legendary paragon node.
