Feedback - Bring back the Real Money Auction House

I submitted this feedback through the game but I am also submitting it here on the forums.

Bring back the Real Money Auction House.

  • The RMAH offered a secure and reliable platform for players to buy and sell in-game items, reducing the risk of scams and fraud that might have occurred on external third-party websites.

  • The RMAH provided an opportunity for players to make money by playing the game, which was especially appealing to those who invested significant time and effort into Diablo 3.

  • The RMAH provided an additional incentive for players to engage with the game and work towards obtaining valuable items that could be sold on the platform.

  • As the owner of Diablo 3, Blizzard received a percentage of all transactions made through the RMAH.

  • The RMAH helped level the playing field by allowing players to obtain valuable items without having to resort to illegal means.

0/10 if you are trolling

If you are serious, well, I pity you then

Maybe go play Diablo Immoral instead?

Disagree. It was the most terrible thing that D3 ever did and I was happy when it was gone.

It put the focus on the AH instead of the actual game, drop rates included the ability to acquire items from the AH, so were abysmally low.

Then you get into all the bots, shady foreign sites, stolen Battlenet accounts because they had value, etc. Last you get into Federal Banking regulations over digital style currencies being covered to real money and taxes.

tldr; no please

It does not have a real money auction house either.

No, but if he wants to spend real money on a Diablo game, that one will accept it in spades.

We don’t want real money anything in D4, except non progression items like customizations (and that’s a stretch honestly).

Opens a thread, but not actually giving reasons or feedback as to why they want RMAH back. Nice.

Also, no, this is Diablo 4, not Trading Simulation 4.

P.S. I’m guessing Open Beta has open the forum floodgates to just about anyone to post, expect more troll-like posts I guess.

No thank you. RMAH was something that ruined the first part of Diablo 3’s history. It’s not needed and never will be. I have no idea why you would want this. It really didn’t have positive out come for the game.

Oh, yes, certainly. D:I is actually a decent free game if you want to do the quests, do a few daily things, etc. You can do anything you want without paying. The end game is very much P2W though. You can’t do the end game PvP without spending money as far as I can tell.

I don’t mind cosmetics at all. If people want them, great. If not, also great. The content, player power, and game mechanics are all unchanged by $ in D4 and I hope it stays that way.

Your screenshots do nothing to back your stand on why they should bring back the RMAH. Let me help you by giving a counter opinion as to why RMAH would be bad.

Remember when drops were severely bad and people actually had to purchase rare (not even legendary) gear to just help them progress in-game? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Agreed.

I totally lost interest in replaying Diablo III when I realized I could just buy all the best kit i needed, even for in-game money. It completely broke the spirit of this type of ARPG. I understand why Activision did it (lots of dodgy transactions on Diablo II) but it was flawed from the start.

Terrible, terrible idea.

Uhm no, don’t want any part of it.

I noticed Gold is tradable… so I expect to see a lot of gold farming adds in the near future

This one is exactly why the respec cost needs to go away.

I have added why this should come back in the original post.

No…we don’t need any more incentives for BOTs to ruin the game more than they already will.

Let’s be real, bots aren’t going to be super prevalent in D4 compared to something like PoE or Lost Ark. Not saying it’s going to be 100% free but it won’t be riddled with em like those games.
