They need to do away with trading period. If not people will be using rmt for perfectly rolled rares. Or make it to where you can’t infuse traded rares with legendary powers
this way blizzard could also restrict how much people can invest in the game, just like they do in WoW with wowtokens.
that would also minimize the unfair advantages people get at the beginning of seasons when they hoard thousands of forum gold on 3rd party rmt websites
But adding a RMH would guarantee them to flood the game and of all your positives become negatives with how fast they would dominate and dictate the in-game economy.
Plus it goes against how they want Diablo to be: Quote from an article about D3:
“The Auction House “undermines Diablo’s core game play,” said Blizzard production director John Hight in an official statement. As such, both auction houses – the one that lets players use their in-game play money to buy more weapons and armor, and the one that allows them to trade the loot they’ve farmed for actual real-world cash – will be shuttered, he said.”
Does anyone actually remember the RMAH? It was awful. It was basically just a financial incentive to cheat and find exploits/glitches. The first people to exploit the Sorc 0HP build made thousands of dollars and flooded the market, crashing prices for everyone else.
Absolutely no. The RMAH was a bad idea and time proved that.
Yes, it makes no sense to have in the game.
I agree with Rob Pardo’s take that the gold auction house was even more deleterious than the real-money auction house, but they were both bad for reasons you’ve stated.
Rob said that most players acquired roughly 9/10ths of their gear by saving up gold and buying it, instead of finding it.
What are you going to trade? Good base rare pieces? Anything beyond that or crafted on is account bound.
That’s one of the reasons I can’t really get into PoE.
PoE may as well not even have item drops. It’s all basically just farmable currency that you trade to a vendor for the exact item you want. Nobody uses or wears anything that drops in their game.
I remember RMAH…yes Iwas one of the few people that wrote back that RMAH will destroy the D3 if it is implanted. Did they listen to us testers? No they did not. That is why you got those Rifts and other zones that are incomplete in the Xpac. yes those Zones were suppose to be quest areas with stories and towns but no it ended up in Diablo Immortal. Players can tell because of where Stormpoint is and where Mount Zavian Monk dungeon is plus Countess story with Blood Rose and many more…just to many to explain.
The RMAH was the best part of D3 but it’s not coming back. They’d have to send out W-2 with new regulation.
it most certainly was not the best part of D3…that award goes to <insert “literally any other part of the game”>
Absolutely not!
No. Just no. No, no, no. Don’t ever bring that back. Not ever. Never ever.
theres already an RMAH, its called JSP…
LOL
might as well just put it back in and get a slice of the action…
I was going to say no one will fall for a troll this obvious.
I was wrong
im on board… i need more ATVI revenue… alert to all players… swipe away!
LOL
Not just no.
Not just hell no.
Not just F****** hell no.
But F****** HELL NO!!!
They won’t. The d3 casuals are always the loudest. It’s because they wouldn’t make it in a cutthroat game like old diablo.
Also battle.net has no balls. Neutered company
It is only going to get worse this weekend. Open Beta has implications for forums.
