Favorite/Worst Town

The problem is repetitiveness

My personal choice again is intuition, in Gea’Kul I know if I want to sell I go down, if I want to do something else - I go right instead

Now yes, MS has a lot to do with it, if having 130%+ it’s no prob. to travel from one end to the other, if not having any MS bonuses I can understant people being discouraged by that

wish we could “bind” or set a default ‘t’ town to teleport too, now I just press m2 and look for k-shad and go there, its got everything fairly close

also, thanks for removing the dunce “time out” stool in that area where the blacksmith is, i dont even know how many times i clicked and sat instead of deleting my junk

Only had a favorite actually, Cerrigar.

Also Scosglen was my favorite region for some reason.

Maybe, if you would not need to go to town twice per 10min(one NMD), people would not complain that much!.

I hope they destroy Gea Kul in an expansion.
That’s how much I hate it.

Let it be swallowed by the Hells… Literally.

The best for me is Kyovashad. But I really like Zarbinzet as well for good layout.

I wouldn’t say most towns layout are disasters as much as a pain to ride through in a seemingly lame horse. If horses were faster and riding more precise i would be cool with most towns.

I mean, skyrim for instance have a lot a different cities layout, not all of them convenient, still they were pleasant to visit

100% this. After my first couple of hours playing D4 in the closed beta… I made Cerrigar my “home”, I hate the fact that the malignant crafting station is only in Kyovashad, luckily I only need to use it once or twice every couple of days. Gea Kul is by far the worst.

Blizzard likely wants to avoid the feeling that Garrisons caused. Personal bases might make the game feel even less social than it already is.

I mean the limit per cluster already makes it feel fairly isolated everywhere.
Personal bases would just be a nice way for people to find something else to do, like player housing in other games for example.
Another neat way to implement it, would be as a guild hall/base for example.
This would still keep at least some social features for clan activities. So far being in a clan is a mood point besides the extra chat or extended flist.

Gea Kul is definitely the worst. Why would the put that portal in a spot where you have to run around just to get to anything?

My favorite town is Kyoshavad because the stash and the blacksmith are very close to the portal. Honestly, every town should have the stash right by the portal.

Me too. As long as the town has everything I need I don’t care about walking.

Unlike every other is not depressive

You have a seaside, palm trees, actually good looking buildings

JK, the one thing I like about GK is the fact it’s again - intuitive, wanna sell stuff ? - go down, wanna roll ? - go right… Stash is in the middle and the portal is right about next to it

And yes I know the journey to the Occultist feels like a monthly-supply visit :stuck_out_tongue: , but it gets better after getting decent MS, really my only gripe is the Gambler which not only is placed far from everything but oddly placed as well

Fav - Kyovashad
Worst by a mile - Kul

Wait, the towns have names?

Love this idea. I don’t play POE fyi.

My favorite is the one where the healer is right there when you teleport in. I think it’s Zabinzet.

If occultist and healer were closer to portal, Kyoveshed would be mine. All the towns are otherwise fine. I just go to the ring/amulet guy to sell my stuff which is next to the portal if the merchants aren’t. Kul is the worst bc the portal is in a balcony that you have to come down to town to

Favorite: Backwater. Chill place. Best overall layout. Add Stash & Occultist and I’ll call it home.
Best:
Cerrigar - Good layout. Stash is far though. Gotta gamble fast? Best Curiosities location in the game(next to Backwater)
Tree of Whispers: Stash Management
Kyovashad: Upgrading, enchanting, imprinting etc.

Worst:
Gea Kul, Ked Bardu equally

Honorable mention/neutral: Zarbinzet isn’t all that bad in the all purpose sense.

Overall though. The towns can be real walking simulators.
I shouldn’t ever get to a vendor and :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: because I forgot something in my stash

I made a huge post on this hideout idea. Thoughts?

Same. I also like Kyovashed or however it’s spelled. Any other town can go piss.

Favorite- Rogue Encampment

Worst- All of Diablo 4
