Yessss…the NPC side by side…more friendly neighborhood…GEA KUL full of rats in town also

Same

Cerrigar - Layout isn’t a complete disaster.

Are the towns even differentiable?

yes. with the shtty path movement in this game, makes all the difference of the run paths.

Considering Blizz is good with stealing concepts and implementing them in their games, why arent they just stealing the Hideout from PoE.
This would give them even more opportunities to sell special Hideout cosmetics in the shop to get even more cash flowing. (let’s face it, many people would love decorating their personal hideout (with free to obtain items and bought items) and maybe place some trophy statues there, which could drop off world bosses, uber bosses, season bosses and so on)
The benefit for the player would be simply adding the needed features close to the teleporter in this case. Like a vendor and stash

I’ve never played PoE, but the idea of some type of personal stronghold could be interesting. And I hate to refer to the game that shall not be named (D:I), but have some system of upgrading it, via defending it from waves of mobs for a certain length of time, or quest lines to find that super rare, hard to acquire building material, what-have-you. Nothing easy, either - make it difficult as Hell! Start with a little hut, upgrade that to a keep, harder content opens up more add ons. Extra rooms could count as ‘stash’ tabs (NOT connected to the stash in town, let’s call them storerooms) - aspect room, jewelry room, elixir room, weapons, armor. Might be a way to work around the horrendous spaghetti coding that limits our stash tabs that we have now?

Leave the vendors, crafters, blacksmiths in towns, however.

My own little {or big} place would be most welcome. It would attract more players and return some as well. Bliz loves us to waist time in game, this would give us so much to do. My little farm too, to plant herbs and keep pets, let my horses run free. Have friends over for some beer and wine… One can dream…

The City of Moonglow.

My favorite is the brown one with a bunch of huts, and my least favorite is the brown one with the run-down huts.

The hideout in PoE is pretty much your base of operation from where you start to do everything that is endgame related.
For it being completely customizable is one of the biggest features in there though. Even if you aren’t fully into making a cozy place to chill and hang out, you have at least the freedom of getting everything close to the teleport, so you don’t have to run around like an idiot lol
But here is just some showcasing for hideout possibilities in PoE, if you want to take a look :stuck_out_tongue:

Kyovashad, I’m a simple man.

Fat Goose Inn pog

can’t repair, sell, nothing but who cares it’s the best place in the game regardless

Gae Kul is by far the worst, everything is so far from each other. Ked Bardu isn’t far behind.
Cerrigar is probably the best, but I don’t mind Kyovashad and Zarbinzet either.

Would be really nice if we could lock our TP to a specific town rather than going to the regions main city. Especially if they, like this season, only place an interactable table or npc in one town. Seriously why isn’t there a workbench in every regional city?

Depends on the movement speed IMO, with slow MS perhaps Cerrigar is ok but it’s messed up and all over the place…

In Gea’Kul is kinda simple in terms of decision making - If I know that I want to shop - I go down, if I want to do stuff (rerolls & etc) then go right/up, the only thing I don’t like in GK is the gambler

I’d personally say I dislike Zarbinzet the most, and I also don’t like Ked’Bardu - the Blacksmith is too far from everything else

Gea’Kul is kinda cool (with exception of the Gambler)… And I actually like it better than Kyovashad in general (with exception with for the Malignant workshop, have to go in Kyov for that)

That being said I can imagine why people have low MS they’d prefer Cerrigar but then the Stash is just in the middle of nowhere, think I prefer Stash to be in the middle and doesn’t matter about the rest if it’s in relative vicinity of the stash

Only town worth visiting for services is Cerrigar. Everything except the Stash is very conveniently in the middle. (Devs how about moving the Cerrigar stash to the centre??)

They layout of every other town is a joke.

It makes me vomit reading how little you people care about general ambiance and feel of a city and all you complain about is having to travel a few seconds more to a bank or a smith or what have you.

How can you be so dead inside that you’re playing an RPG and instead of immersing yourself in the world and its different layouts all you see is your damned route optimization.

Do you even stop and take a look at the different details that were put into each city? Do you read the lore items? Do you stop and imagine what it would be like to be there?

What’s WRONG with your generation?

Oh, I think you have it quite wrong.
It’s fun the first few times, but things get old fast. Not sure how often you need to look at the same thing and have to be amazed at it. In fact it gets old quite fast. Especially after having the same routine over and over again.
Would be simply better to have everything decently close, so you can get your stuff done fast and continue with whatever you were doing.
