Of course any new class they release will be horrifically broken. I suspect they won’t let it remain completely out of whack for an entire season though. Damages the game in the long term.
We’re speculating on speculation at this stage. But yes of course any new class if it’s this week or at anytime in the future it will be the strongest. Especially if there is a price tag to unlock it.

I’m pretty sure we’ll likely have a preorder in the least on the 11th and get some early cosmetics perhaps for the new season.
But at best we might indeed have an early release Paladin. And they’d be dropping a ton of info this week if so on it and all its uniques.
right? Lets see the drama if no paladin is announced this week.

Yea last time we had season release not on a Tuesday we got pets and a preorder that gave us cosmetics and wings. I doubt we’ll actually have a playable new class this week.

No matter what happens, plenty of people will be there to do the obligatory “I told you so, you’re a #$&^%$& for thinking otherwise.” It’s not clear yet who will be the gloaters and who will be on the receiving end.
At this point I’m hoping it is another class because people just never seem to learn. They build all this hype off of nothing more than rumor and innuendo then rage out when their fantasy doesn’t come true. It happens time and time again,.,

Well assuming it happens then yes it will be completely broken.
Or a sword and board class that ISN’T paladin but something totally new that uses the light. Either way, I highly doubt it will be playable this weekend, but we shall see.
