Being hyped about an early paladin release is a bit of a risk. Three possible ways to be disappointed:
It might not be there this friday (1). If it is. it could be more expensive than you expect (2). On top of that, it might not be what you want it to be (3). Best to expect nothing, we’re dealing with Blizzard here.

It should also come with its own new race. Like for example the demon kit we have as a merc. A chaotic “neutral” demon class with its own storyline and items (please not only one every 2 years) and and and…

We all know its gonna be a class. Its gonna be whatever class they wanted for the expansion since its had the most work put into it. Honestly think they will pull a D3 and sell the class like they did with necromancer and then announce another class for the expansions. Im predicting a “we are behind on the next expansion and it will be delayed til “insert date”, but we will be releasing the “insert class” today because it is completed and ready to play after the show is over with a prepurchase ((or standalone purchase)) of the expansion”
Imagine how frickin’ badass the trailer for it is going to be. Paladin comes smashing out of hordes of demons, jumping up, and consecrating the ground in holy fire making them shriek! Flail swinging outward in bright white light slicing through elites.
$$$millions in sales$$$ easily, and then show it off in Pits 100+ smashing things with insanely cool builds….. just when you thought you got away they got you again!
Genius marketing strats and PoE diehards logging in to play it too I bet!
And yes it’ll be a bit broken. 
Idk. Blizzard is pretty lazy about their trailers unless its a major expansion. And a good chance the class will just suck because its being rushed forward to save D4 from PoE2s druid. Honestly still think Diablo 3 is more fun and enjoying the recycled seasons there alot more then what D4 has been doing.

If that happens I suspect it would under similar circumstances as D3. Which is to say the second expansion was cancelled and they just released what they had already built.

It’s likely going to be the new expansion that comes with a new class. What I find strange are all the people who think Blizz is going to give the class away for free. I can’t think of any example where they have ever done that in the past, so I don’t understand why people just fabricated this idea that it’s going to happen now.
Don’t get me wrong, it would be nice but I doubt blizz would give something away that they know will sell like hotcakes.
Yea, for sure. My money would be that everyone thinking the pally will drop s11 is going to take a big L.
I wouldn’t be mad if I’m wrong, but I just don’t see it happening.
I don’t think people think a new class is being given away for free, just that you get to try the class in season 11 with a paid pre-order.
Well based on some of the threads I see, I think some people are praying to the RNG gods that the class will be free.
If we see a new class, it will likely just be in a trailer that will likely have no real info. If the expansion isn’t coming out til late next year, they are likely still working on the new class and don’t want to show too much until they lock all the features down.
If anyone will get to try the class early, it will likely be the same streamers who were invited to test spirtborn.
Silly question I know, but if the Paladin was going to be released in S11 (as way too many are making the assumption), shouldn’t it have existed on the PTR to maybe test some?
I think Blizzard is going to announce an expansion soon, and the expansion is what will introduce a new character, but they are not going to do this in a seasonal patch. No, if you want to play with the new shiny toy, you need to pay for it.
