I didn’t say “works like OS,” you’re having a pointless argument with yourself in your mind.
You are misusing the word “software” in an imprecise way while being pedantic and annoying.
You then seemingly made a few attempts to make a useless point about abstraction layers which are also not relevant but you never really explained it well anyway.
The argument originally started because of your imprecise description of filter keys and your wording suggesting it could be used in some way to auto-repeat an action like a macro when it seemingly is actually just software that lets you adjust input delay settings.
If an operating system feature existed that let you automatically repeat a key press, it would in-fact not be meaningfully different than a macro or even a built in controller feature since the end-result is that you’re using automation. Nobody cares about abstraction layers or HOW its automating, it’s the fact that it’s automating that is the issue being discussed as to whether or not it would be allowed.
Oh, and I think your entire obsession with this line or talking is actually a distraction because you’re embarrassed you mentioned filter keys and the numlock trick in the first place when they aren’t actually relevant at all to a discussion about evade macros.
