I’ve explored to “unfog” all map area. And on my PC side challenge list I can see “Estuar Wanderer” is unlocked. But on the PlayStation side the trophy didn’t unlock. For what it’s worth, the last few “fog” areas were visited on the console side.
im having this same bug happen. ive done it on 2 different characters. one that has completed the campaign and one that skipped the campaign. still didnt pop for me.
I wonder if you played solely on console or crossplayed at some point on PC as well?
I played on both PS5 and PC and I’m suspecting there are certain areas which I only visited on PC the trophy doesn’t unlock for this reason. But then the game claims it’s crossplay so it shouldn’t happen.
It seems the game on PlayStation tracks it only on PlayStation.
Meaning you can never unlock it on that character. All spots seem to be needed to be done while on PlayStation.
I too play on PC and PS5. I completed the campaign on PC and I figured it would auto pop that trophy on PlayStation. Nope.
I had to do the campaign again on PS5. Luckily I needed to do hardcore to 50 anyways.
I haven’t started HC yet. Just curious - if you later create a HC character do they have the fog of war or is it already cleared?
Also on doing the campaign with HC, I think it’s not as “safe” as just grinding various dungeons if lvl50 is all you want, as some campaign bosses are slightly more difficult, must my 2c though.
I only play on PlayStation and I have removed all fogged areas. Still shows incomplete for 3/5
Here, too. Played via Cross-Play and didn’t get the trophy. Pretty disappointing. Please fix, Blizzard.
So I got the trophy and it is as I suspected. If you discovered any zone on the PC with that character is is never going to unlock that trophy on Playstation or Xbox. It seems the tracking is per zone on the consoles so to the console it thinks you haven’t been there.
I presume it “MAY” be possible to hit every zone and make the console see you been there but there could be a check based on when the message pops up so it might not work.
What I did was create a brand new character on console and literally ran some events and took that character to level 20, that took like 20 minutes because I didn’t have anyone to run me through a dungeon at the time. Probably don’t even need to be level 20 but I figured it would help when I got stopped by mobs.
So anyways at level 20 I literally rode my horse through each zone and saved the area in Kyovashad for last where you go to speak to prava for the first quest after prologue.
You can open up your renown page and see the number of zones you have there in case you didn’t spot one of those tiny little reveals on the map.
Anyways, after running through all the zones and then I walked into that area in Kyovashad I got the trophy so I think it is exactly as I suspect that the console is “Checking” for each zone as you go in them and not for you getting the Estuar Explorer thing in game.
Also, side note, I completed my first playthrough on PC, story and all and I mentioned this prior here but console will require you to complete it there as well, so if you want the trophy for that make sure to finish all that on console as I had to do a second playthrough on console.
EDIT: On that last point, I think it is possible just to complete the last part of the story on console even if you have played that character on PC prior. I think it just checks for it when it happens that the credits are about to roll.
THe map will still need to be uncovered and your renown will still need to be done. Your lilith statues will need to be gotten.
However a lot of things are there for you from your Eternal Realm.
For instance, you will have access to everything you unlocked in the wardrobe from level 1. You will have access to a mount from level one provided you earned it in eternal realm. You can indeed skip the story.
The stats part I very much get, a second character levels faster and is far easier to play when you have all the renown rewards and statues and they were going for a tougher playthrough the first time.
Second characters are a breeze. So that alleviated people just smashing through HC trivially right from the start.
I can tell you this from experience, get the statues immediately, don’t listen to this garbage about them being something to do later.
You don’t have to run to all zones and get them all like right away but if you are in a zone, use the web site diabloplanner dot io or whatever, just search diablo 4 interactive map and look for diabloplanner dot io on the list, which lets you take everything off the map except lilith statues and when you grab one you can mark that and you will only see the ones you haven’t gotten. If you do that from the beginning you will have a much easier time with your first HC character. Only do this in zones of your level of course.
Same issue Happened to me a few minutes ago. Explored the last bits on my PS5. Got the in game challenge but no trophy.
I think all the places need to be explored on the PS5 after i did that it poped. I was using a hardcore character
If you played on PS5 and PC how are we supposed to get this PS5 trophy now that the map is shared in 1.1.0a? I need a new character with no map exploration so I can discover each area fresh. If I start either hardcore or softcore my new characters have most of the map explored already and some could have been explored on PC. Also don’t think I can create a second battlenet account and link it to the same PS account to start a fresh character.
Help?
Easy solution is to create a new blizzard account and buy the game again and start from scratch to get the achievement.
Same Problem for me. Was hoping that the trophy will unlock after creating a new character and logging in for the first time - but it doesn’t…
Having the same issue on PS5 here where the Playstation trophy is not popping even though I have the whole map explored (and the Estuar Wanderer in-game challenge completed).
Some notes for possible repro, cause:
- Started the game on PC, explored some of the map there (even completely uncovered some areas).
- Went over to PS5 to continue playing, completed the map (unlocked the Estuar Wanderer in-game challenge) on PS5 and the Playstation trophy did not pop.
It seems that the PS trophy, since it reads x/5, is tied to the 5 regional in-game challenges being popped on the console.
I believe that Destiny handles this by checking to see if you have that in-game achievement unlocked and then rewarding you with the trophy if you do (you can tell because the trophies pop when first launching the game on console, if you’ve played on another platform and have technically unlocked some of them first). So, a possible fix could be to check if the player has the in-game challenge “Estuar Wanderer” completed.
They might have to resubmit the trophy to PS for this to work properly via cross-platform play. Not sure if they can change the check for the trophy with an update, since it’s tied to the platform.
If this isn’t fixed by S2 and you really want it, do not reveal the whole map for your new seasonal character (do not log-in to eternal realm before starting s2), then you’ll have a fresh map and might be able to unlock it.
Note that this applies to all of the trophies that only count progress on the console platform vs. reading it from your game progress.
Same issue. PC/PS5 player here.
Anyone already tested if uncovering the map in hardcore again works even if the ingame achievement is unlocked yet?
I tried exploring all areas in Hardcore today. When I explored the last area, the PS5 achievement did not pop up. But there was a prompt in the chat that said, “Estuar Sightseer close to completion”.
My initial guess was like what was already mentioned by the others here - that maybe the PS5 console records the areas differently from the PC. However, I did remember that there were some areas that were no longer reachable in Estuar because they can only be accessed in the campaign. And since I skipped the campaign on my hardcore character (I finished the campaign on PC), I wasn’t able to access the areas on my PS5. So that’s what I’m going to test next. If I complete the campaign in PS5, I might also explore the missing areas along the way and finally unlock the Estuar Sightseer
I have the same problem. Uncovered the whole map but got no trophy. Full renown, multiple lvl 100 chars. Pretty sad, since I have everything else without getting the Platin trophy. Hope there will be a fix at some point in the future.
Confirmed fixed, thanks devs. For the 2 people posting above me, it may be a different bug or, as JoeMama mentioned, you may be missing some areas explored.
