Hello; untill last night i can acces D4 without problems but i keep getting eror code 1016. I read some guides and other topics about that issue, and checked my system; my network and check everything but its not from me..Also i talked about my ISS ; they said “ its not from us”. i tried to connect Via VPN and its ok..
What can i do about that ?
THX..

I just have the same code and can’t get in game currently.

It means bad internet connection

my connection is almoust perfect! i duble checked it :person_shrugging:

maybe something is blocking the ap, cause that’s what a 1016 means

Txh for helpin first of all
Blocking APP? if that will be case; i cant log in anyway. But i can log in Via VPN. So, i dont understand whats the problem :face_with_diagonal_mouth: . Called 2 times my ISS and changed some IP adress (maybe blocked my ip adress somehowe..) but it didnt worked. Same error keep coming. 1016.
what can i do about that? any ideas? solutions?

Hello,

I also started getting this error code this evening. Last night, I was able to play without any problems. I repaired the game, reset my network settings, cleared my DNS cache, and checked that all my drivers were up to date, but that didn’t solve the problem.
I have no problems with any other games or even with the BattleNet application.
I hope a quick solution can be found for this problem.

I have no issue logging into my Battlenet App. I click on play D4, the cinematic starts, 1st phase is ok but just before I get to character choose phase it suddenly says

“Unable to connect Battle. net. Check your netwrok settings. (Code 1016)

There are tutorials to fix this in Blizzard and I tried all of them, resetting pc, resetting modem, resetting network settings, updating drivers and OS. Nothing worked.

i use some VPN ish(i cant tell the exect ap name in here) tool.
i can log in and play no problem, but when i close the tool pufffff.. it right back to 1061
sould i get argue my ISS on phone for hours?

I solved my problem! (Using PC.)

Windows 11—> Settings —–>Network and Internet —>advanced Network settings–>Choose Ethernet or Wifi whichever you are using—>More adapter options click edit—> uncheck IPV6—→double click on IPV4—→Click on “use the following DNS server adresses”–> first line is 8 8 8 8 and second line is 8 8 4 4–>Click OK and then click OK again and exit.

I followed your advice and it worked for me.
Thank you very much.

that solution i was already know it. it was a 2.nd solution that using VPN or VPN tools like apps. but solution im looking for it not them.
when i use some DNS like google dns or open dns it effect my network stability and make my internet unstable and slow.
