Enemy Variety is.......lacking

I love everything about the game except the fact that there is almost no enemy variety whatsoever. I think it may be being exacerbated by the same type of mobs being in zone after zone as you progress, but I mean, it’s wraiths, skeletons, fallen, bandits, and about half a dozen animals everywhere. I am holding out hope this gets better in end-game when they all have 4 modifiers, and I have only done the campaign so far with with very little side content, but…it’s kinda bad in this regard.

It has been stated that there are 6 monster families. Demon, Undead, Human, beast, and a couple of others. There is an achievement that has you kill 14 different types of monsters. So…

Additionally, Blizzard has stated that monster types will drop gear type (for example, skellies may have a higher chance of dropping crossbows) and that is across the board. So, if you want a high end crossbow, you must have skellies.

You can see the game was intended to be much larger than it currently is.

They ran out of time and pushed it out. You see it in the story, you see it in certain sections of the map. You see lots of copy pasting between events. You see incomplete talent trees and little to no support for certain abilities.

It was an ambitious project that needed another year or refining.

Disagree. Each region has their own respective variety. Explore the entire map.

I look forward to doing so and am glad to hear this.

Maybe season 1 will add in a new monster family

Seems you have not played game itself.
Each region has just re-skinned enemies, with same abilities.

each region has explosive enemy.
regular grunt
summoner
tank
ranged.
+affixes for elites and that is it.

Incorrect. Nice try though. Lol

I actually think what they have is fine. Ive pretty much done a full explore of the map and there are, what someone else posted, like 6 different mob themes.

Like i cleared the campaign and still was finding new waypoints and towns i hadnt encountered in all the campaign, and those areas had different looking mobs, assuming the dungeons are themed appropriately. So if you are just doing the dungeons around the center map, its gonna look like all the same mobs due to area theme.

Have you ever played a Diablo game? PMSL

Skeletons. Demons, Cultists, Knights, Ghosts, Drowned, Flies, Fallen, Bandits have been part of the game since the first game. What you looking for lmao? They’ve pretty much covered the entire fantasy.

I lost hope when I saw a campaign boss as just a reskin of a dungeon boss.

So every newly realeased ARPG? Hell I was playing POE when it was one chapter. Games been out a week they will add hundreds in the years to come

The issue is comparison. We don’t live in a time where Diablo is the only Arpg in existence. If anything Diablo is relaying purely on its name and graphics.

Where are the lightning beetles, Sabre Cats, Claw Vipers.

Just wanted to correct that for you.

And the nonbinary demons, and the Karen scorpions. I agree. MORE RESPRESNTATION BEFORE I RATE DIABLO 4 A SINGLE 1 OUT OF 10.

The issue is the difference in developers. GGG isn’t remotely close to Blizzard in terms of size, length of existence, and experience. It also wasn’t 60 dollars.

If Diablo & blizzard didn’t have its name to fall on right now all you would have is graphics and a bunch of mechanics they stole from other arpgs

You okay? Just want to make sure.

Yep, I had a full blood work test, and a psych test. All came back A okay. Now I’m sat waiting for my Salmon to oven cook with my salad, while sat on the forum laughing at dimmers dimmer than a 20 Watt light bulb give me their 2 cents.
