So right now there is a 2ga strength/heavy handed amulet on trade…the guy selling it says he has been offered 5800 grand gems which will make him 5trillion gold…how does blizzard let this happen on their own trade site…

Why wouldnt it be possible to accumulate that? Just as there are probbly 20 figured amounts of gold circulatiing. And in any case, who cares. This is for all purposes a single player game, and everything you could ever want to be able to oneshot any content except high pits is handed to you after 20hrs play. It means nothing if ppl dupe or not.

Im not saying its possible to loot that yourself, but im sure thats a currency that can be used just as gold is. And im very sure among all the players that there probably exist tens of thousands of grand gems.

Ofcourse i agree that duping is bad. But i just argue that the fact that someone has 5800 grand gems isnt proof of duping, just as someone with trillions of gold isnt proof of gold duping. Im sure duping exist, and i agree it blows. However for this game i dunno if i care at all. If it had been Poe for example where market and trading means everything it would be a disaster. Here however it doesnt matter. Everything is handed to you with zero effort. I have not traded a single item, i have like 500m gold, no need for any more. I have full deck with all i need including like 15 mythics i dont use. Ive played maybe 80 hrs or so this season. I am paragon 250, i oneshot lillith and all other content except high pits. Nothing matters, trade is useless here.

Ok maybe im naive then, as i said i am not on any trading sites etc, so i have no idea whats going on there. But i just imagine if i get a 4GA top notch item i could easily sell that for like a trillion? So i would be called a duper if i lucked out with that?

If you care about it, play a different game by a different studio. Blizzard has had decades to do something about RMT but it has only gotten worse.

Lol i am just trying to argue against your logic which started with someone haveing 5800 grand gems is proof of duping. Im just saying that i probably have vendored like 10-20 items that i could sell for many billion. I have no idea what a grand gem is worth but im sure its possible to sell stuff and accumulate that? But if im wrong i’m wrong. Was just a kinda weak prrof for duping, thats all. As i said i am more concerned with how easy the game is so that i dont have any use for trade. I wish it was more challenging and that i needed to do trades in order to grow in power.
Duping feeds directly into RMT. They can fix duping, but they don’t care to.

The possibility exists a person can be good at trade and not a duper themselves or trading on behalf of dupers. It’s splitting hairs, but you can legit say they don’t care about the rules, they don’t care if things are duped or not, but you can’t say they actually did the deed, because you have no proof of it.
Speculation yes, proof no. That’s doesn’t make them not guilty or excused.
That’s why SSF is the best way to play…. It takes all that nonsense away.
