People pay 1B gold for a horde run, 1b for tributes of refinement. etc. It is easy to buy 1k gems if you do a lot of carries with 3 in a party.
Is this economy in the room with us right now?
He’ll, they can’t balance the classes over a year into the game.
It’s too early. Give them time. In 5 years maybe half of the classes will be on the same level and the other half will be garbage. After 10 years maybe we can finally have it sorted out. Patience is the key.
Duping is bad of course, but most people really don’t care or even welcome it because it prevents the game from becoming a trade or die economy simulator like PoE / 2. Most Diablo fans prefer finding their own loot.
The dupe has been going on for a year, and only a minority of individuals been crying about it.
You must be new to the game or even to blizzard.
Noone cares. Deal with it or change game.
Public dupe was released like two days ago. Still works, plenty videos available. A lot of people are just mass duping atm.
Blizzard is very slow to act, and rarely if ever ban for it.
Did you read what people said?
People know it exists, they don’t really care.
It’s nice that you speak for “all these people”. Reality says otherwise though, there are huge communities on Discord/d4trade/d2jsp that activity engage and care about the economy. That are about a million times more active than here. So that’s simply not true.
Last season I saw an anti dupe topic every single day. So people do care, Blizzard doesn’t care though. But developers in other games prioritise fixing dupes over anything else, we have had whole Season/league/rollbacks because of the severity and damage dupes can cause on the economy. And it’s against the integrity of the game. If you don’t care, that’s perfectly fine. But speaking on everyone’s behave is insane
Completely agree! well said
Skimming the then-you-must-be-duping-lol posts here made me lose brain cells at a faster-than-normal rate.
.
Those other games have actual SSF modes, even the EA.
Also, obviously Diablo games have far more dupers/duped items, it’s simply math. Bigger base, way more casual spenders. And (purposely) predisposed to MTX by the year-long influence of D:Immortal on release… and yes, there was no attempt to distinguish those two player bases, it was overlapped by design - “premium” crossover skins + guest-of-honor mention at campfires, etc.
I go back to when D2 pre v1.10 had a bug that was exploited, where players used this program to essentially create a full inventory of the same item. Windforces, Shakos, SOJs, BKs, etc… were raining down freely. I remember having a full mule filled with Windforces from some cow game I entered. It was a lulz moment.
Anyways, point of the story is that I am aware, saw it with my own eyes, duping has occurred in these games. But not every freaking thing is a *$&@# dupe, not every player who has X, Y, or Z amount of XXXX is a duper or cheater or whatever. I even have a trillion in gold right now, I can very easily see how some players could have trillion(S) upon trillions very easily.
Imagine some PC sitting in a home, shared by several people all spending their time on D4, all using the same account because they could afford only 1 copy. Imagine they take turns playing. Or imagine the guy that just has nothing better to do 24/7 but be online. They will have trillions in gold, and certainly lots and lots of gems.
Yes, it sucks. Duping sucks. RMT sucks. Being boosted sucks.
Is it a game breaker? I don’t think so, not when there’s no leaderboards/rankings or competitive play.
Does it mean Blizzard shouldn’t try to find solutions and fix the problem? No, but it’s clearly not a very high priority to most players either : Contrary to some ARPG where loot is very scarce and getting the specific item you need is a matter of extreme luck, trading is purely optional in Diablo 4. You can get every Ancestral Unique without trading. You can get every Aspect without trading. You can get every Legendary gem without trading. Eventually, by spamming enough T4 Uber bosses, you’ll could get every Mythic without trading runes.
Trading might only be necessary if you’re using a off-meta build pushing for Pits 110+ and are in need of perfectly rolled stuff.
Personnally, I don’t trade directly, outside of an Auction House. Circa 2000-2001 D2 aside, I never did trade much (and well, there were plenty of dupes then…). Probably never will.
As such, I know the issue exists… I simply don’t care too much about it as it doesn’t really affect my gameplay.
They don’t care? Then why isn’t there a single player mode? Wasn’t seasonal sole purpose to prevent these things and keep a stable economy? Seems this game mode is working very well lol
The main purpose of seasonal play is for Blizzard to sell more Battle Pass/Cosmetic. Same logic for the lack of single player : They want to push the cash shop, and its content, to you in as many ways as possible.
First off, the post is made out of assumption’s that there might be a guy of a guy that is offering this amount of jewels. who is there even to say he even has over 2 whole tabs of gems to trade. i am not saying there is no RMT or dupes going around, but there are no facts that its even real.
And i really dont understand why people bring in ssf here, you can totally do ssf in diablo 4, just dont trade with anyone ?
And remember, the only thing that might keep your frustrations away, is to not care about the next person is doing or what build is OP atm. play the game to have fun and dont compare yourself too much to others, you probably end up being jealous or angry.
There are no Leaderboards in the game
Gems are 100% being duped again. I had a guy buy item with gems as well and what am I supposed to do? Refuse trade because its suspicious? I cant prove they are duped. It is possible to buy this many gems if you worked on it. Its not my job to enforce a fair market. ITs Blizzards.
oh gods. I have 500 Ohm runes, 400 Bac runes, 1000 gems already, and 800 billion gold.
You didn’t get $100B gold legit either in 2 weeks…pot, kettle, you
If on eternal then they could have accumulated the gems over time through trades/
