Do you know what a Druid is?

huh, not being rude but in truth a Druid is somethign that someone made up with there imagination based off some things from real life. The truth is just like in the real world anyone can imagine anything however they want. If this is what blizzard imagines a Druid to be then that is what it is in the world of D4. That being said just dont play it if you dont like the body type…

Can you please put the core of your complaint in the thread Title please? That way I dont have to click on and read halfway through another “fat druid” complaint.
Thank you.

Also, there are plenty of obese vegetarians, and the D4 druids are not obese.

There are plenty of Polynesians that were living off subsistence agriculture and had fat distribution that make them look that a tubby endomorph.

Let us wait and see what future character creation options come out. The male Druid doesnt look fat if you unequip all gear

thank you. this thread is painful, as if anyone knew a druid personally. lol. I think the only account of druids came from the Romans anyhow. Its not like the druids wrote books and took selfies documenting their diets and body weight.

Maybe…but druids in Sanctuary are not Siberian (even if starting zone might be based on that). The monk was, sort of.

If this is what blizzard imagines a Druid to be then that is what it is in the world of D4.

"- I think that I would say that the appeal, the attraction lays in my father’s extraordinary power of compelling literally belief in an unreal world, what he called, a secondary world. That is a world that exists only in the mind. It cannot be seen, cannot be found, it is exist only in the mind. And many people who discovered, perhaps many people for the first time in their lives who discovered that this is a very delightful thing. And this world they enter proves to be an extraordinary, interesting place, with a long imagine past. In these world, strange beings, beautiful, noble, terrifying, hideous, strange places, strange events uncounted. But in this world of his devising when you enter, they are true. Their existence cannot be doubted so long that you’re in that world because they are caught with the laws that govern.”

You can imagine things in the wrong way (wrong from the PoV of immersion and world building and lore consistency). They did that…AND they also ignored some game design ‘lessons’ for the sake of real world representation.

That being said just dont play it if you dont like the body type…

That’s kind of why we’re talking about this…those are both very bad options (failed at game design, and ignored the druid doesn’t have to be bear spec…you could tell they failed when they made the dismount skill be a specific shapeshift which might break the players’ class fantasy).

What is the sense of the druid having a “strongman” build when their abilities are powered by nature magic not physical strength?

So cows that are grass fed are lean, not fat at all. You can see their ribs protrude if they’re grass fed specifically. The image of a cow you’re invoking is one which is fed on ground corn infused with corn syrup that is heavily subsidized in the U.S. and makes it cheaper feed than grass (figure that one out).
Pigs eat anything. They eat stuff that has no nutritional value whatsoever. They are also frequently fed ground corn feed mentioned above.
Sheep? Idk after they’re sheered they not looking too fat.

Oh, this argument again.

Either your impotent rage will fizzle out and we’ll see you on the 6th in game, or you’ll cry so hard that you beg daddy blizz for a refund.

Ch0nk druids 4 lyfe.

this got to be a joke.

Meat doesn’t make people fat, caloric surplus does. Meat varies greatly in calorie density, but is comparable to all sorts of vegetables, seeds and nuts. Meats score highly on the satiety index and many people have success losing stubborn fat on carnivore diets.

At this point we have to stop tiptoeing around the issue and admit that “fat druid” complaint threads are always full of a disastrous mix of fatphobia and incel logic

Nope and they change the thread wording after being unable to post because there were literally more than 10 threads about the Obese Druid.

We never tiptoed around it to begin with. After awhile, we flagged and reported every post and thread.

Nope. They’ve never exorcized a day in their life, so they don’t know what a strong person looks like. They’ve apparently never read a book were a strong person was described either, because then they’d have heard the term “barrel chested” before. Druids are powerful strong because they have to do their damage with their body. They are warriors after all, not beauty pageant contestants. There in lies their problem, they don’t want warriors, they want beauty pageant contestants. Which means they are playing the wrong game.

hehe diablo 4 druids are predators. Became druids just so they can lure cuddly animals to them and eat them.

If you see the ribs protruding on any animal, it is starving. Doesn’t matter what it is fed. The real difference between lean cows and not lean cows is free range vs enclosure raised. Cows that are allowed to free range will get more exorcize and thus have leaner meat than cows that are required to stand still in a stall all day every day. But free range cows that have plenty of access to food will not have a protruding ribcage; that would be a sign of severe drought and or animal cruelty.

Pigs are omnivores, meaning that, yes, they eat most anything, but if you feed them things with “no nutritional value,” they will whither and die, just like any other animal. Domesticated pigs have been bred to get bigger than their wild counterparts, but even they can get huge, 500 pound (227 kilo’s) is not unheard of.

Even sheered sheep aren’t tiny, though I wouldn’t describe them as fat typically either. Though they are usually reared for their wool rather than for food so…

Goats would be the counter example. They eat almost anything and they tend to look somewhat scrawny. They are natures lawnmower.

That is literally the only hair that kinda half-worked

They want Lost Ark style characters

Just to clarify I’m not for a set type of body for classes. It would have been great if they allowed us to use any body type with any class. But the fact that the druid is inspired by Celtic druids has nothing to do with their diet. In Diablo the druid could eat a full bear for breakfast, lunch and dinner, tail and all, for all I know. Unless you can show me anything that states these guys feed exclusively on roots and berries.
